I can downfame posts, I can only upfame them. When I click on downfame, it upfames the post and there is no possible way for me to down fame. Why is that?

And this is a problem? ;) That's actually pretty strange. My upfame/downfame buttons just take about 10 seconds to react. Well have fun upfaming everybody!! :D

Well apparently mine works. :P try logging out and logging back in. Maybe it will fix itself

Well since I found out about this, I used the downfame button to upfame people. And I just discovered that my upfame button allows me to downfame people... Weird...
Why the heck did I get 1 upfame and 3 downfames on that first comment?

I discovered this phenomenon myself. I believe it has to do with having a Fame number below zero. Anything you "hate" ends up getting the opposite treatment because low fame means your opinion ain't worth much.

What did I do? My fame plummeted over the last few days. It bottomed out earlier today at around -60 and is slowing working it's way back up.
It's no big deal - Fame isn't live yet and will only be reset.

1. Your Fame CAN be negative, which helps distinguish between the guy who has 4 Fame after buying something from the Fame Shop, and the guy who has -15 Fame because he is a nuisance to the community.

I am in V2 but I don`t know where to Upfame/ Downfame. Can someone tell me where to click?

At each post, there's a green button with a plus sign and a red button with a minus sign at the upper right corner. Those are the buttons you would use to upfame and downfame a post.

Ok so when I click those buttons it has an effect on peoples fame. Thank you for answering both of my questions :)

They are working perfect in mine... Maybe you should try a different internet browser depending on what you are using it could be screwing with stuff.

I tried all of that. It used to work perfectly. I didn't install anything, and suddenly they started not working. No matter if I use a mac, PC, or no matter what browser, they just don't seem to work!

It still may be that your negative fame is now denying all of your up/down fames. I would need Peuan or Alex to see if this is true, but that might be the cause.

Yes, that's correct. I fixed it last week. What Alex wrote before was right, you actually can have negative fame. However, if you do have negative fame, you have no influence over anyone's fame.

And since then it's dropped by over 20. Someone out there doesn't like me much, unless Alex is still working behind the scenes and jiggering the numbers.
EDIT: In the brief time since I posted this, it's dropped ANOTHER TEN POINTS. Well, I'm glad it's still in beta, or I'd start taking it personally. Which is to say, I still wouldn't care, since people here know my worth from my words, not some silly number! 8)

Oh no I didn't mean it in any competition. I'm just saying that you could care less about it cause you've got the highest fame around. It's like how in school you'd score the highest grade in class and say I didn't study for it? Just saying. :P

Oh gotcha! That makes sense. I know what you mean. Haha I just don't see what fames does right now... maybe I'm missing something. It's cool to have a high fame and I appreciate the love. Until the fame shop it's pointless though haha and our fame will be reset so it doesn't matter. It's still cool I guess
