Title: Brimstone Deck
Post by: Russell CircleCityCards on February 07, 2012, 10:48:58 PM

aaaaaaaaaand..... SOLD OUT.

If you have placed an order on our site and have not received them yet, don't worry, you'll still be getting them.  Adam and I are still shipping out Revision 1 Kickstarter rewards and the moment we are finished with those we are going to catch back up on web orders. Thanks everyone for supporting my dream!

We still do have 1 last unopened 'brick' for sale if anyone is interested*... just head on over to http://www.circlecitycards.com (http://www.circlecitycards.com) and click on the 'Brimstone Brick' button on the right side.
(We'll be updating the site within a few days)

Thanks everyone!
- Russell

Gah! I was waiting to pick up a brimstone deck when the Americana's were available to order as well :( I inquired about it previously via email and was told that they would announce when the amount of brimstone decks was low.

I miscounted the remaining boxes, I thought I had another 2 gross.

I do have a FEW Brim's stashed away that will become available when the Americanas ship.  DON'T email/PM me asking to hold some back, I will let everyone on here know a day or two beforehand, you'll be able to grab one or two.
Again, thank you everyone! :D

I loved the Brimstone deck! If I'm not mistaken, it's the first Bicycle branded playing cards completed from the Kickstarter. I'm really looking forward to the Revision 1 and Americanas!

By the way, when are we going to see the next design???

I think you're right on that. Circle City Cards sort of pioneered it in that sense. Three beautiful decks and more to come!

I remember them saying that they would announce the new design in January, but it's now February and no new design...

Any news guys?

By the way, I've noticed that there's only the Brimstone and Americana wallpaper available on the website. Are we not going to have one for the Revision 1??

Will it be a very small release of decks that could possibly sell out fast? I'm asking because I might just pick one up from a reseller now rather than making another gamble with the possibility of getting none :(. Alternatively is it possible they will be sold in like a three deck package? (1 Brimstone, 1 Revision 1, and 1 Americana)

@brown_baggs  -  We are going to announce our latest deck in March/April, I don't want to overlap like I did with 'Americana' and 'Brimstone'.  I want to be sure everyone has their deck before launching a new one.

@sxjy0109  -  Adam's been mulling around a few ideas for a wallpaper, he is just extremely busy with his 9-5 job and shipping out the 'Revision 1' decks.  I saw a rough draft, looks god!

@Eyeball  -  Yes, it will be a very small release. I am limiting the 'Brimstone' to 1 per order to make sure everyone who missed out can hopefully get one.  A 'three deck package' you say... I imagine you'll see that exact thing too!

Russ mentioned earlier that the Brimstones are limited to one per person for the upcoming sell-off.  So no, you wouldn't be able to buy more than one three-deck set, unless he changes his mind.

Well yes unless he has some set aside for these three deck packages. It would be hard for to imagine them not thinking of this long before us. Although with the small run and the high demand I could see it going either way.

I'd say it's not looking like there's going to be a lot of these to go around.  Russ, please correct me if I'm wrong, but as I interpret what you've said up to now, anyone getting a Brimstone in the upcoming sale has a shot at getting just ONE DECK, regardless of whether it's the only deck they get or if they get it as part of a "trilogy" set.

Okay I get what you're saying, I'm just stating my view on it. I have read the conversation. I know the status. I'm just throwing my opinion, thoughts, what have you out there.

True enough, but only Russ knows how this whole thing will shake out, hence my call for answers.

The whole "trilogy set" idea came from someone here in the forums...not from Russell.  He wouldn't have had a chance to "prepare" for a possibility that hadn't occurred to him before being suggested here.  Eyeball suggested it immediately before Russell stated he's limiting the sale of Brimstones to one per customer due to scarcity and demand.

Just to clarify a bit:

I have one unopened brick left to sell.

I have squirreled away some Brimstone decks for the following:
Adam and I have discussed a three-pack (months ago) and we will have that available limited quantities.
I will be selling a few single decks of Brimstone. (Members of this forum will be notified first)

Although I was the first to post the idea, Russell's response included "A 'three deck package' you say... I imagine you'll see that exact thing too!". So I think it is fair enough to conclude that Russell had already been thinking of a package like this :)

No problem!  How was the shipping box I sent it in?  I just started using them and I'm trying to get a bit of feedback on how the brick inside arrived.  Was the way it was packed sufficient?  Thanks!

I can't believe the last unopened brick of 12 hasn't sold yet.  I do have 1 brick left if anyone would like it.  Just hit up my webpage and click the Brimstone Brick button on the right.  Also, sorry to keep pimping this, I swear it is the last time.

I thought this brick would be kept for three deck packages? Are there going to be any 3 deck packages?
