Hey guys! The forums are growing like crazy and our current staff is doing an amazing job keeping things in check. However, there are certain boards that need extra attention to function perfectly. Before we get started, let me show you the perks of being a moderator here:
1. You get access to the staff boards, which have development blogs on upcoming products and such.
2. You get... power! And respect.
3. You get free swag every so often. For example, Curt, CBJ & Peuan will be getting a Vortex care package in their mail in a few months.
4. You get listed on our Facebook Staff page for our thousands of fans to see.
5. You get to move up in the card community and gain experience in the field.
Now that that's out of the way, here are the minimum requirements:
1. You must be 15 years of age or older
2. You must have 100 or more posts
3. You must use good grammar & spelling on the boards
4. You may NOT hold a staff position on any other forum of any kind, and the Discourse MUST be your most active forum.
5. If you share any secrets from the staff boards, you will be promptly demoted and banned. Don't ruin surprises for people, just enjoy your first look. :)
Finally, you may want to know where we have open positions:
Design & Development - Your job is to answer any support questions related to your expertise, and post threads that spur discussion in the field.
Sales, Trades, & ISOs - Your job will be to lock some threads every month, and make sure everyone is adhering to the rules of the board.
The Talk Park - Your job will be to stay updated on current events of various genres, and make new threads on the topics at hand that spur discussion.
Introduce Yourself - Your job will be to post a unique welcome for each and every new member that posts there. You will also be responsible for sending them a welcome PM enticing them to post and check out the boards.

I use 15 as the cutoff so that school isn't as big of an issue. Freshman year of high school tends to be more hectic than following years, and it's just a simple cutoff.
But hey, in a few months, I'd love to go over your application. :)

Darn i'm 12, so i'd have two wait 2 1/2 years haha. I'm on the computer any time im out of school though

Thank you for all the great applications everyone. Rest assured every last one is being read and considered properly. As of now, a moderator for one of the boards has been chosen. The person will not be informed until another moderator is chosen as well. Design & Development has received no applications as of now.

I presume that 'availability' is how much time you have spare to use the Discourse in, right? I'll interpret it as that in the application, but please correct me if I'm wrong.

Sounds right. If you're going to be a moderator, you have to be present to moderate. If you can't be here more than a handful of minutes a day, it might not be enough; whereas if you practically live on the board - well, you'd need a life! :))

Hang on... Forgive me for being pedantic, but doesn't this thread belong in the Official Aether Discussions board, rather than the Playing Card Plethora?
This is assuming that you didn't have a specific reason to post it here - maybe you did have a reason?

You could be right. But maybe because this whole forum was meant to attract playing card lovers, so it makes sense that most, if not all, members of the forum would visit this board. I'm pretty sure a lot of us here don't read the Official Aether Discussions Board at all.

Alright, so I'll be going over applications next week. I'll pick the top contenders for each board and post them in the staff boards and we'll make a joint decision.
Expect at least two new moderators. :)

This board obviously gets more traffic than OAD or any other board. That board exists for support, and as an archive of all Aether threads after they are done being posted in, so that PCP doesn't get flooded with "I PLEDGED FOR THE VORTEX DECK, DID IT WORK?!" threads.
This thread, too, will make its way over there, but not until I no longer want members to be reminded of it every time they visit the board.

I think if he does have any updates on this matter he will post something.
He is a rather responsible human being ^-^ with tons of responsibilities to his Kingdom of Aetheria. ^-^.

But yeah. Patience is a virtue I guess. All we can do is wait and seeeeeeee.
