Giovanni Meroni, better known to collectors as Thirdway Industries, might not be the most prolific playing card designer on the planet, but he's certainly a contender for the title. He released eleven decks across three different releases in the eligibility period for the 2023 Diamond Awards and is a nominee for Artist of the Year.
His releases for July 2022 through June 2023 are:
- Heartless: Nether, Abyss and Gehenna - themed after the underworld
- Fantasma: Duplex, Tomb, Spirit and Basic - ghosts printed with UV-visible-only ink
- Damokles: Adamas, Cuprum, Opulentia and Ruinae - derived from the ancient Greek myth of the Sword of Damocles and themed on the perils faced by all humans.
