Steve Minty is no stranger to the Diamond Awards, but this time, he's a double nominee, Playing Card Artist and Deck of the Year. His sole release in the period from July 2019 to June 2020, Ascension, came in a Standard edition and a Signature edition with stunning three-dimensional artwork that simply leaps out of the box. (The project has a sequel Kickstarter project that shows these incredible tucks from the original project, but the file sizes are just way too large so I'm providing a link for you to see them!) He does extensive work with metallics, to impressive effect. It's pretty clear why these cards caught the eye of the Diamond Awards Committee.
