Ok guys, I've decided to change this a bit as some people simple won't like the origional format. So here's what I'm going to do. I'm going to do a 10 clip pre release sell. You can choose between the natural clip or the Lacquer finish. Each one will have Eco Prototype laser cut into the front and will be numbered. As said before I need to raise money for the prototypes so now we can benefit together. Good luck & remember only 10 are available.
Cost per clip: 15.95 + shipping

Looks like it's been updated. I suggest you guys grab the clips at this price ASAP - I want to see this Kickstarter get going. I'd get some myself, but, I am actually contributing in a different way. :)
Suffice to say, if you guys want to see a sweet, Vortex clip, help Rob get the prototypes in.

@MagicAddictz: From my experience, whoever buys it first has theirs shipped out first. It makes sense that these will be shipped out first, followed probably by the Kickstarter clips, and then any other sales.

LOL, those who purchased the Limited run of 10 Prototypes will likely have there clips in hand in 3 weeks give or take a little depending on your location in the world. @Baggs, don't worry man, I just sent out your invoice. Sorry MagicAddictz, this is one you should have been around for. I can say this, if all goes well, which judging by the evens sale it will, I have some very nice things in store for you that will have you starting a Clip Collection in no time.

By collection do you mean multiple different clips?
If so, I'm in!
If you do release multiple clips you should release them in a set!
Lastly, will the price be the same as pre-release, or more expensive?

Moon.exe you should check back for sure. And yes a collection is in order but some of these like the Prototypes are going to be hard to come by so just be ready.

I'm really excited about this! From the little video I saw it looks really nice. Hopefully this will get me into porper/card clips a little more. Really interested in seeing what else you have up your sleeves ;D

I actually requested that picture to create some promotional artwork and requested for there to be no lighting. If you look closely enough, you'll actually see that it's not just a flat surface inside, but since I'm not actually developing the project I don't know if that's intentional or not.

Yeah I hear ya Moon I'm taking a break for a little while. I'm glad I got this though. End it on a high note right?
I think with a little break I'll enjoy the cards more and it won't just be a constant thing. It'll also be good for me and my wallet.

I can relate to the buying fatigue. I've been snapping up too many decks in the past month, and I have to slow it down. Told my girlfriend that I was giving up on buying older decks, just getting the current stuff. And only two packs of each at that. I'm at the point now where my hobby is taking over, and I'm the one who's supposed to be driving this thing, not the other way around! ;) I have so many decks now, I could use one ungimmicked deck a day and not go through the open decks for several months. If you count the sealed decks, I could go a couple of years.
The same goes for magic - I have enough books, DVDs, special cards/decks, etc. to last me nearly a career. I'll be selling some of it soon.
But back to the topic - those clips really look great, and a good deck clip at such a cheap price; it's a steal.

She is, thanks! My collection... I estimate there's around 800+ decks, sealed and unsealed. Been giving away some, but also been buying quite a bit more. I should take an inventory at some point for insurance purposes - but then that would mean I'd need to have renter's insurance!

I've sent out the recent invoices via my iphone but I don't think there working so I'll be sending out new ones. If you have double Invoices please email me. There should only be 3 people that will potentially experience this problem. I wont try using my iphone for this again. Thanks

Well this is a special batch as it is a batch of prototypes. But right now it stands at 20, but we will gear up for the first official sale by the end of January. I wont say more than that as it will spoil the surprise for the prototype members.

I'll send off my PayPal payment tonight while I'm at work (evening shift today instead of overnight). I'm looking forward to seeing these clips. At those prices, this could be an excellent alternative to using metal - they're so expensive, even for a plain-Jane model.

Thank you everyone! This sale went very nicely and because of its success we will be able to move forward with the project. We will be including a special extra item with your prototypes. I will be double checking orders and working on a few of the invoices issues over the next 2 days. If your one of the people experiencing invoice problems please email me so I can better handle the situation. Also if you have an invoice that you've not paid but is visible already in your PayPal, you have until Wednesday to pay it. After that time your order will be canceled. Its made of bamboo.
Heres what Robert (the creator) says: "ECO Card Clip is made from Bamboo and is roughly 1/10 of an inch think to provide the durability needed to protect your deck without feeling bulky. Bamboo is a very ridged wood and has been fabricated for many protective cases for many Apple products and has also been used to manufacture benches. So the wood may seem unreliable for the job but bamboo is ridged and very dense. The clip will be available in two versions. One clip will be available with a lacquer finish the will present a darker color while the other will have no finish and will maintain a natural look. The lacquer will also provide and extra amount of durability to the wood. "

No I think we should be getting an update in the next week or so. I know that they were making some progress and that they were getting close to shipping out prototypes. We'll have to wait on an official update from the guys though :P

Yeah communication has been a little lacking but they have been pretty busy with all the business stuff! It's been an awesome start for the company and I'm excited for them. I'm sure they'll pop in soon and give us an update :)
