Join us tomorrow night at 8pm PST for our encore release event of Tungstene Playing Cards. Only 1,000 decks were printed for the artists personal use... We managed to get ahold of several hundred. We will post the link tomorrow at 8pm on the dot. Happy New Year!
-Dan and Dave
I might pick up a couple if they aren't 26$ again.
-
I probably won't get any.
-
I'll definitely consider it, as long as they're less than $26. Preferably a lot less than that. :P
-
I they are a $5-6 deck, I may buy a brick for personal use.
-
Wow I thought they said January?! This deck just can't have a normal release I guess. haha
If they are less than 10 bucks I'll grab a couple. I have two right now but I'd love a few more. This is one deck I love!!
-
I'd expect them to be sold by the brick again, like the V6, black crowns and white arrcos. ::)
I'm not particularly interested in this deck, though it certainly is original, so I might pick up one or two if they're not too expensive. I have yet to make an order from D&D, so that'd be a good excuse.
-
They're only done that once and that was with the "discovered extra V6s". I doubt they will do it with these because it is the first official release (not counting the "accidental" ones) and that would really limit the amount of people that could get them. They'll have more customers by selling them individually and with such a small amount for sale it would be silly to just sell bricks.
Just my thoughts, I could be wrong
-
I'll just pick up a few of them.
I'm not a fan of the design and it just isn't appealing to me.
I'll probably get 1 to open and review, and 2 to keep sealed
EDIT: I just realized that I am going to be on a plane during the release :-[
-
I love the design. One of the king's is eating McDonald's. One is Playing PS2. It is Awesome.
It makes my mind go :-\ and my body go :'(
-
yuh i would say this is my favourite deck that i own. the only problem is the one way back and im not a fan of the back design otherwise it's my by far my favourite deck
-
It's your favorite deck, but you don't like the back? How does that even make sense? :-\
-
cause all decks have their pros and cons?
-

Easy. He loves the faces, jumble pips, the box, but he just doesn't like the backs, but the good outweighs the bad.
-
Well, handling-wise it's a USPCC deck, there should be plenty of other decks that handle the same... And to me the back design is at least 50% of a deck, so if I don't like the back, obviously it can't be my favorite. But of course you can have different priorities. ::)

i understand what u mean but it does handle different for me. its a bit stiff. the back is terrible i dunno what they were thinking with the back. and althought the one way back can be hidden in spreads it's hard to do magic with a back thats a one way back. but the cards are just too amazing =) really?! mcdonalds and a playstation controller?! amazing!
-
Um... Mcdonalds... and... Playst... What?
Are those linked to by the QR codes?
And I actually kinda like the back, it's original and sort of mysterious. Just not pretty enough to really grab me... I'm all about elegant designs. ::)

You read my comment right. It is a pretty weird yet awesome deck, and I love it!
-
Yeah I love it too!! Like @loldue said the court cards are awesome!!! I love this deck. It's up there on my list of favorites!
-
I don't think it will be under than $10 a deck.
Might be somewhere from $15-$20.
And I'm sure it will sold out fast.
-
It's among the most unique deck designs I've ever encountered, it was made in a very limited print run, and they're USPC quality all the way. To me, it's a no brainer. I paid $20 for my decks and I'm pleased as punch with them. This is a deck you will never see again. Totally one-of-a-kind and the QR codes on the cards and the box have got to be a first.
-
Ah, damn. I just realised the release time is 4am tonight for me. I can try staying up, but this is the first night that I've been free to actually have a good sleep. Maybe I'll miss this one out - I don't think Tungstene will be in my price range anyway. Good luck, guys. I hope all of you who are eagerly awaiting the release manage to pick up a deck or two.
-
Did the email from D&D state where to go to get them tonight? Or are emailing/tweeting that info as well?

I just found out that it was sold now to members only.
Here is the link.

But, I'm not sure what would happen if non-members make a purchase.

I was able to make a purchase without a problem, although I'm not sure what exactly it means by "members only" does that just mean if you have a D&D account you are a member?

Dang! $20 a deck. That's insane.
-
$19.95 per deck before shipping, I think I'll have to pass sadly
and the members of Dan and Daves club ($100 a year) is what the members are for, they got the link about 2 hours ago, though its not that strong of a website if it lets just anyone buy from the members only part if they have the link

It's a membership card sold at D&D shop.
-
20 a deck sigh* =( probably wont pick up anymore
if it was going for like 10 a deck i probably wuda picked up a brick....
-
$20 a deck is expensive, but still if you want the deck, this is the cheapest way you can get it.
Luckily I got 2 from the leak last time.
I'm not buying again.
-
I bit the bullet and picked one up for my collection. They are unique and I have been pretty behaved with my spending habits on my collection. I am looking forward to putting this one on the wall.
-
They just added Cin Arrcos and Jerry's Nuggets to their shop too, the Jerry's are $350 each O.O
Also, the Tungstene are already out of stock.

Saw that too.
Tungstene sold out so fast.
I think members or whoever got the link already bought most part of those.
-
Really not a fan of the Tungstene deck and so didn't pick any up.

Yeah pretty sure most people got the link ahead of time because they were out of stock in like 30 seconds. I got one though so I am happy :) I loved the design and really didn't want to spend $20 but I knew I would be kicking myself in the future because they won't be getting any cheaper
-
Out of stock in under a Minute...
These damn cards seem to be unattainable for me....
Ah well, forty bucks of ebay then!!!
Yeah right, I think I can live without them LOL!
-
WOW that was fast!! I wasn't surprised. I didn't get any but luckily I had two from that I bought earlier from a seller. The Jerry's added is interesting! Anybody going to get one of those??
-
I was there promptly at 8pm pst. I didn't even see them available for a fraction of a second. Could be my internet connection lagging but I would have liked to pick some up but not for $19.95 a deck, although probably a good idea in hinesight, I am not irritated or anything, it's whatever...D&D's product releases have gone down hill lately anyhow, lol not too surprised...
-
Yeah 19.95 is a bit high. I got my decks for cheaper than that from a reseller! I only got two though since they were still a little spendy

I agree a little, although I bought the Fantastique deck I was slightly dissapointed, I didn't get the Fultons yet and I don't like the Tungstene deck, $19.95 for a deck was off putting in itself but I never liked the design anyway. In defense of DnD though it's not a deck they've had any hand in creating so it's not like I can say I'm dissapointed in them as it's not even their deck.
As always though some would say I'm mad for spending $150 to get the 2 LTD decks and some will like these and some wont but I definately think DnD are making a good chunk of profit from these. I'll still buy the s&m's if they release anymore but I wont and cant afford to buy every release any longer.
-
Because the supposed "Members only link" was available to everyone D&D club members or not these cards were sold out by the time they they would post the link.
-
if they sold an uncut sheet version id be all over that!
-
if they sold an uncut sheet version id be all over that!
This is not their deck, so uncuts would not probably exist.
-
if they sold an uncut sheet version id be all over that!
Yeah I agree with Phantom but IF they did I would get those in a heartbeat!!! That would be one that I would get at least two of.
-
I'm glad I got mine at the second "leak sale" for $20 a pop.
I hear a lot of you complaining about the prices on these decks, but remember something - all three of the D&D deck releases tonight have something in common:
Dan and Dave Buck did NOT produce any of them! They're RESELLERS. So that's why they're costing what they're costing.
I mean, look at the Tungstene: only a thousand made, never really intended for sale in the first place, created by a couple of French artists who've probably never tackled a deck project before in their lives, never mind doing it for a living. D&D get a few hundred or so, so yeah, they're going to try picking a price that's not outrageous but still profitable and not out of whack with the market as a whole.
There are MORE White Centurions out there, and they sell for ten to fifteen times MORE than the Tungstene deck! And what are the White Cents? The white version of the BLACK Cents! At least these aren't a sequel!
-
I just log in to D&D website and saw that the tungstene deck was out of stock, a few minute later I came back and it's available ......
-
They were just n stock for like a minute... now they're out of stock again
-

Yes, It was really strange...
I manage to bought 6 decks... received order confirmation.
5 minute later I went back to the website and it out of stock again....
-
On ebay there is a deck selling for$51, with 21 bidders. Do you guys think the Tungstene deck will reach the same price as the White Cents?
Billy.
-
No I don't think it will. I got my decks for 19 bucks and I doubt that these will reach that mark at least not for many many years
-

Impossible.
By the time the price for tungsten deck could go over $100, white can would go $500.
-
Who are the crazy bidders going for $51??? That's ridiculous!
I did not get to buy during the sale (had 2 decks in my cart but it sold out before I could complete the purchase) but I doubt I will pay more than $40 for this deck.
-
No one would ever accuse all card collectors of having a complete deck, if you know what I mean...

Is this one one those "Not the sharpest tool in the shed"-type metaphors?
