Hi everyone, I wasn't sure where to post this, but I just received an email from Lee Asher, he has told me that he should have his Fournier 605 decks back in stock sometime in the next 30 days or so ( fingers crossed ). Just thought I'd give you guy's the heads up.
Billy.

Thanks Billy, how long have they been sold out though. I bought something from Lee's site a while ago, and I was going to include a deck of Fournier's, but both of them were sold out. I wished they were back in stock earlier, but hey, what can you do?
-
can anyone post a link to his website?

YES! I love the 605's and I've been waiting for him to get them back in stock. I only have a couple of them right now, but they are great cards.
-

I think it's sold out and won't be back in stock.
(Not sure about this)
-
The 605's are constantly coming in and out of stock. Phantom1412, Billywiz reported that Asher contacted him to report they're returning within a month. I've seen them go in and out before.

I thought it was limited deck because it's sold out here in Japan and I couldn't find it anywhere cheap.
Sorry about my misunderstanding.
-
It happens... Perhaps you can try a deck swap with some American who can get them almost reasonably priced when they return, or maybe a European who might find them for less since they're printed in Spain.
-
why not just order from the lee asher website when it back in stock ?? and dun you guy think it quite expensive it cost 10+

They're $10.99 a pack, and yes, that's not cheap, but they're also supposed to be of the highest quality available. Fournier is generally known for making good cards, and the 605s are done to highly exacting specifications. If for any reason there's a problem, Lee Asher will replace your defective deck with a new one. Lloyd's of London monitors the quality assurance process - it's practically impossible to get a deck with rough edges, crooked printing, off-center cuts, missing cards, etc.
Simply put, you're getting what you pay for.

ya i saw a theory11 review it pretty good but seriously the price maybe i combine with my friend to buy a brick that might save some money
-
The brick deal is a very good offer. I was in touch with Lee's staff and they mentioned that I could purchase a "split brick" of 6 decks of each color and still get the regular brick price.
-
Keep in mind this deck is useless for fanning and the like. This is strictly a deck for cuts and certain magic.
-
I didn't realize. I'm guessing you've tried on your own? Just how bad is the fanning issue?

Yeah I have the 605's and the 505's.
The fanning issue is pretty bad. They fan for a few minutes out of the box, and afterwards it's a bit like fanning a deck of Mavericks from Erlanger. Absolut Vodka decks fan way better.
Also, Fournier 505's are exactly the same with different colors and cases, and are twice as cheap.
-
Supposedly the 605's are made to a more exacting standard, with little margin of error. Are the 505's done this way as well? If so, why isn't Fournier making a big fuss about it to sell more decks?
-
wait this is confusing me .. so is the deck good or?? review say that the deck is awesome but now ..

Probably because they are based out of Spain, and their demographic is not people in the U.S.
@Hawjinjian: The deck is great for cuts and a lot of magic that doesn't require fanning or faroing (the cards take a lot of breaking in to faro).
Honestly if you guys want a smooth finish deck that fans, faros, and is perfect for everything - grab a Virginia Slim. To this day they are my favorite cards of all time.
-
ok thank do you know where i can get the virgina slim or somthing like that ?? i never hear that before

It's a deck that was released in 1985 to promote Virginia Slims cigarettes. The cigarette brand was marketed primarily to women, and their advertising usually showed women in empowering roles.
The deck back has the brand's slogan, "You've come a long way, baby" repeated in a diagonal pattern and was made in a Victorian-based design. The rumor is that they fan and glide like iced glass covered in butter, making them sought after by cardists. Despite the deck being over 25 years old, they can be had for relatively reasonable prices in the aftermarket - there's a few active sales and auctions for them on Ebay right now.

i saw some on ebay .. are there poker size they look slighty bigger to me

Alex, you wanna field this one? As far as I know, they're poker-sized. If not, then their bridge-sized - 1/4 inch more narrow. You don't generally find a lot of cards larger than poker-sized except for certain novelty decks.
