Title: Lost a card. What to do?
Post by: seamus on December 17, 2016, 05:10:55 PM
Hi, lost a card from a bicycle playing deck (http://www.bicyclecards.com/product/bicycle-silver-steampunk-playing-cards/). It's in really good condition, but I don't know what to do.

Is there any way to replace the card without buying a new deck?

Thanks,

Seamus

Mmm,

Atleast its not expensive, maybe just use that deck to practice cardistry,
Or use a joker to replace a card. Marking it as the card you lost.

Anyways, thats what i would do.

Having a spare deck isn't such a bad idea, really.  I do some card tricks that require having duplicates of some of the cards in a given deck.  You could use your now one-card-short deck as the spares for another deck.  Plus the Silver Steampunks aren't terribly expensive.

Better to not lose a card in the first place!

I feel this pain.  I lost the 9 of spades from a deck of Green Monarchs the same day I opened them.  I replaced it with one of the Ad cards that came with the deck, and now I'm less scared to do a signed card routine with another Monarch deck knowing Inhave the backup.

I don't own Steampunks, but if they have an Ad card with the back design on a side, that could work as another option.  I've definitely used a joker too for sure, but I know what it's
Iike to lose a card for sure!  Good luck!
