1795 Time Capsule

I read a report on CNN that claimed the Revere Time Capsule in Boston contains "cards".  Does anyone know if this is referring to playing cards?  If so, are they from the 1795 or 1855 era?

Wait an hour after it is opened, then we'll know all the details.  I heard it was opened and inventoried, but just now saw more was added.  Good question, now I'm more interested myself!

Every article I have seen of the actual opening and contents have dropped all card reference. I did note they talk about newspapers and special mention of a folded up cover page. Perhaps the cards were just the well folded newspaper seen in the X-ray.  Sad.

I read the follow-up article.  No cards.  Newspapers, though, and coins, as well as a plaque.  Going to move this to the Parlor since it's not about cards anymore.
