I wanted to start a new channel and make funny youtube videos with my friend, like reality TV shows kind of. But I wanted to see if you guys had any ideas of funny things you would like to see on youtube. We are 13 and 14 years old, please I would love to hear all of your ideas.

Go out into the street and interview random people, pretend to be from some news program, start the questions legit, then slowly get more ridiculous and see how long they put up with it.

Drawback: You'll never pass as a news anchor at this age, and getting camera equipment and mics and gear can get pricey.

Hmm.

What about deck reviews? XD

I think doing a deck review but instead of you doing the review ask random strangers to comment on the deck. This way we can get real world feedback on the deck as well.

  • Pick a card, any card...no, not THAT card!

It almost doesn't matter what you decide to do - as long as you do it with integrity and heart.  You won't get a million-plus page views any time soon (if ever), but that means nothing except that your page is similar to perhaps 99% of all YouTube content in that respect.

Try using it as a channel to highlight magic performance.  That could be fun.  Do real street magic and perform for people.

I do recommend you get a model release from anyone you're performing for - if your video should somehow become popular or actually worth something, they could try suing for a portion of the proceeds unless they've signed a release.  If they don't sign, you can still show them in the video - just blur the face and mask the voice.

Hell, that alone would be an interesting idea - performing magic and blurring out the faces of the audience!  It would look totally bizarre!

You'll need some kind of video/audio editing software.  But the effect itself should be fairly simple.  And no, it doesn't require the latest, greatest and most expensive software that Adobe makes, either...
