What to Watch, Summer 2012

I had some fun with this one.  Any opinions on the movies presented?

Dark Knight Rises, The Avengers, and Prometheus are the ones I'm most looking forward to. Brave should be good because it's Pixar. As for Bourne Legacy, I really like the previous Bourne movies, but a Bourne movie without Matt Damon still seems weird to me (I'm sure I'll see it anyway.) I don't think The Amazing Spiderman can be worse than Spiderman 3, so that's a plus. All the other movies in that list go under the "meh" category.

Movies coming out later this year I'm excited for: The Hobbit Part 1, Lincoln (that other movie about Lincoln), and Django Unchained (because Quentin Tarantino).

I'll probably go see a few of these but I'm only really looking forward to Prometheus and The Dictator.

Prometheus (yeah, it's an unnecessary Aliens prequel, but still, it's both Aliens and Ridley Scott)

The Bourne Legacy (I predict - sleeper hit of the year)

Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter (am I the only one who noticed the movie studio YANKED the trailer!?)
Snow White and the Huntsman (I watched the trailer and scratched my head)
Brave (maybe my stepson will want to see it; it could be OK)

The Expendables 2 (first was just OK, barely)
Dark Shadows (yeah, I like my franchises nearly 50 years old - what a FILF...)

Pirahna 3DD (doubly-dumb)

The Dictator (yeesh - I could barely sit through most of Borat)

(This was a friggin' instruction manual for becoming a mother back in the '80s!  The source material doesn't exactly scream "COMEDY!!!" to me with the volume turned to 11...)
