Does it bother anyone else here that for the extremely limited run of the incredible new Silver Acorn Deck, they didn't even bother to print boxes for them?  Conjuring Arts just said, we're going to throw them in the same box as the black ones and slap a sticker on the box to tell you there's a different deck inside?  Trust us, there's a different deck in there... What's that about?  I held Conjuring Arts up to higher standards... Then again T11 did that with the Gold Monarchs also didn't they?  Card collecting is changing... And I don't know if it's for the better...

I know right, its just asking for more forgeries and what not. If your making something so "rare" why not show that with a nice tuckbox, even with just the reverse back design.
Mystery is the basic appeal of magic. Once the secrets are known, the magician becomes a mere manipulator, an actor in a suspense drama which has little impact because the audience knows the ending in advance.

They could have just used a different color deck seal.

Slapping a sticker on the outside of the cellophane is just lazy.

I didn't buy any of these decks

Companies are too lazy to print new boxes. :(  Printing different boxes just cuts into their profit
People say nothing's impossible, but I do nothing everyday.

Today I found something that reminded me of you. But don't worry I flushed and everything went back to normal.

I collect Bees primarily so I did pick one up.  It's definitely not ideal and means I'll probably never be able to sell them.  It's just a blue circle sticker, anyone could get one.

I think this is kind of ridiculous, just another way to get more people to buy these decks...

Wow that is lazy. Not too mention stupid and it just makes the decks less appealing. They really should have at least picked a different color seal!!

I agree.  I haven't purchased any of these decks and not sure that I will.  Slapping a little sticker (where you can purchase from any store) on the cellophane and then tell us "yup, this means the silver acorns are inside the black acorns box."  Cmon, seriously.  I like what CBJ stated.  It would have been way better if they used a different colored deck seal.  A deck seal is a sticker too but you just cant run to walmart and buy them..  Why go the lazy/cheap route?   :-\

And a different color deck seal would have cost them ZERO extra dollars

Very true.  And yet why did they do what they did?  Beats the heck out of me...

I think they did this knowing that collectors would buy them no matter what, and they were too lazy to change the color of the sticker.

  • Pick a card, any card...no, not THAT card!

I didn't think anyone could top the lazy efforts of T11 with the Gold Monarchs, but this takes the prize.  A stupid blue circle sticker?  What were they thinking?

I can see this seriously cutting into the value of the deck for a collector.  But for people who actually crack these things open and use them, I guess it's a boon, assuming you don't end up buying an imitation.  Assuming that CARC isn't completely out of their minds, I only see one reason for doing this: to virtually destroy the post-retail sales and trades of this deck
