Hey there, I was playing around with some white ghosts I got from ellusionist during the black friday sale they had earlier this year. I noticed that even though this was long after the uv 500 stock was no longer available, the deck still felt and handled like it had that stock. Upon comparing it to a uv500 masters deck it felt the same and am curious as to if someone knows what stock the white ghosts use at the moment.

Cheers

They used to use Bicycle Casino, which is no longer made.  I think they're using Bee Casino now, at least on the old-model, thicker decks like Ghost, Masters, Arcane, Black Tigers and Tally Ho Vipers.

At this stage of the game, USPC is only carrying two primary stocks: Bicycle "standard" and Bee Casino.  I think the Bike paper weighs in at only 300gsm - the former 325gsm stock had issues with finish when they moved to Kentucky.  Bee Casino is the only thicker stock left.

There is a third stock, but it's not a standard stock: 100% post-consumer recycled.  Not many decks have used it, and it's usually used in conjunction with vegetable inks and starch-based finish.  In other words, super-easy to recycle and with a minimum of chemicals that would interfere.  To date I think three decks have used it but I can only remember two: Bicycle Eco Edition and the more-recent Bicycle Archangels (in conjunction with T11).

You should check out the Fact/Fiction topic at the top of the PCP, usually found below the NDR.

Hmm very informative as always Don ;) Much appreciated. The stock just feels so much like the UV500 whereas the new masters stock feels very flimsy and light. I will give that thread a look at too.
