I just purchased this interesting Bee Deck... I think that it's cool and I'm looking for a blue one as well...

Edit:  I thought I'd post some pictures of a fantastic new Vintage Deck I just picked up... I was told the deck is from the early eighties and is a variation of the Standard Back... Cambric Bee... Love These Decks... Anyone interested - I have an extra one or two...

I don't know any real origins of this deck, but I do know one thing for sure....

....

the two larger diamonds are sexy. An excellent addition to an already classic deck. No sarcasm  8) I too would like to know more.

I've never seen this one before, though that deck seal sticker would pin it at about the age you were told it was.  Looks like a cool find.

It's enough to make one wish that USPC had an "ombudsman" for dealing with the collector community and answering questions like the ones you were raising about this deck...
