I'm looking for a Lucite Case without the deck in it. If you can find me one that would be great.
-
I've never had a lucite case before, but I have one on the way from E. If I can, I'll be taking the deck out and I'll sell you the case separately.
-
what deck somes in the lucite case?

How much would you sell the case for?

Either a Red Artifice, Gold Arcane, or Black Ghost 1st edition.

I want to get 4 Lucite Cases eventually and have the Black Ghost 1st Ed. Gold Arcane Red Artifice and finnally a Limited deck in them.

Not sure, I'll have to look up values. Feel free to throw me offers.

$25 to start.

$25 is too low I think.
If it's the lucite case from E it would be cost more than this.
But, if you don't specify whose cases, I think you can find it not so hard.

E's case. I will probably end up getting 4 from E at the $475 level over about 2 years. then taking a deck out of one and put in the limited deck :) then I will have all there limited decks in lucite cases. And if I have three of the deck I will sell the third one and do a review of the second deck and the first one will stay in the case.
-
Is the Lucite case made out of glass, plexiglass, or plastic, because I was thinking glass would be too heavy to ship.

Just curious what decks do you wanna put it in?

I looked into making a few lucite cases awhile back. Materials themselves ran around $30-$40 dollars (for the ellusionist size). More simple designs such as the ones I saw at totallywp would cost around $20-$30 to build. So if you could purchase one from alex or someone second hand for around $30-$40 that would be a pretty good deal.

Actually, the Lucite case is made out of...wait for it...LUCITE! 8)
E actually used to sell them separately for a short while. It was kind of funny, because it was for some price in the low triple-digits, I think maybe $175. The point was that they threw in a "free deck of Gold Arcane" with every purchase!
The Lucite case is nice - I have one - but I've seen much better. It's not a convenient size, there's no easy way to hang it like a flat display case, there's nothing special about the Lucite that protects the deck from sunlight to prevent discoloration. It looks pretty, and that's the biggest thing it has going for it.
The more interesting case was the ORIGINAL Black Ghost 1st Ed. case, which I don't think was ever offered on the website - it may have been given away to prominent magicians or some such thing. That was a smaller STEEL case with a window in the center. Someone was selling one on eBay for over a grand. Thinking it might be some homemade thing, I contacted Jennifer at E customer service and she confirmed that it was indeed a type of case they gave away decks in; whether the seller's was genuine or not is unknown. It looked like really thick steel - must've weighed a freakin' ton!
