Gah, I was just slightly too slow to grab the early bird at the $15 tier.  So I just went with the first early bird for the normal deck.

I'm reworking the indices to make it so that they don't move as much.

Don, is this the kind of idea you were talking about? (which I'll admit I kind of like...)

Ok, so it has been a crazy summer but I'm hoping that soon I can jump back into finishing these up and putting them up on kickstarter or card launcher.  I do like the "deduction" angle but wanted to gather some opinions.

Do you guys like the texture on the cards?  Is the "fading" on the courts too much?  Also, since it is suppose the deduction deck I am looking to insert some small minor gaffs that could be used by a magician to "deduce" things.  Does anyone have any ideas?

I really like this, I especially like that you have included the trick for kids dvd in.  I'm a little low on funds but may be getting some soon (hopefully before the kickstarter ends) so I can grab that tier.

What is the printer you are using?

Good luck to everyone!

The smallest I would ever go is 15".  My full time job requires a lot of video editing and graphic design and this is just big enough that if I don't have an external monitor I'm still ok.

Also, I use a mac but that is because I need Final Cut Pro.

That is awesome!   :D

Since these were designed for USPCC, does this mean they will be available in major retailers?

I actually really like the normal non limited editions better.  I think it is because I love the colors that you used on those.

I like those.  It would be awesome to see someone be able to reprint some of these old decks.

It might just be the geek in me but every time I see the AoH, it looks like symbol from the Zelda games.

Is this a redoing of an older KS? I feel like this deck was already part of a KS campaign.

Got an early bird

The cards are nice but the tuck boxes could use some work.

I'm pretty sure this is the first time I've seen it here.  Either way this looks awesome.

Excited for this project to get finished!

I knew Don would know of something.  Too bad it's all zombified and that the diamonds are brains and not diamonds.

The only thing I really like about this deck is that the hearts kind of look like real hearts which made me think, has anyone made a "literal" deck of cards? (the suits were pictures of what they actually are)

Playing Card Plethora / Re: Flat Design Bicycle Cards (KS)

I've seen flat design before but everything that I have seen usually has 0 depth to it.  Even the picture you showed really didn't have much depth since the shadow (at least to me) appeared to be very off.

What gets me is that it is called "flat" but those court cards have depth to them.

To me, it's beautiful but slightly flawed.

The backs are a one-way design.  Not a deal breaker, but it will keep even casual poker players away.

The court figures are small - as if seen at a greater distance and thus taking up less width than a traditional court card.  That wouldn't be so bad were it not for all the elaborate background work practically smothering the courts, making the figures look more like an afterthought.  If he made the figures wider or made the background with more negative space, he'd have something very special, I think.

You are so right!  I knew there was something I didn't like about the court cards and this was it.

Get me one second, I'll go make a channel, make 4000 fake youtube accounts, and then message you...

I really like the artwork and since Joan of Arc is one of my favorite historical characters I like the theme of the hundred years war.

I'm especially liking how you have the "black" suits being the french and the "red" suits being the English and even having some cool aces to go along with it.

The only thing that doesn't completely sell me on the deck is that the court cards seem just kind of ok to me.

Please add a random sampling of spot cards, one from each suit, as well as all the threes, and this looks like a complete entry.  Best of luck to you in the election.

Here is a set of 3's and a random sampling.  Excited for voting to start!
