Hello friends,

I am migrating here from the recently deceased UC, so I figured I'd take this opportunity to tell anyone who cares to read this a little bit about myself. I am a 17 (soon to be 18) year old magician and playing card collector from a suburb near Chicago, Illinois. I am always buying, selling and trading decks just to get opportunities to check them out. I'm very picky about my "permanent collection" - it consists mainly of rare, vintage or valuable decks, all of which are NIB. Besides doing card tricks and collecting decks, my hobbies include graphic design, writing, running cross country / track & field, long walks on the beach and hanging out with friends. I've got a great sense of humor.

I should rename this forum to ChicagoCards or something. Someone from there signs up every week. :P What part are you from? My girlfriend is from Arlington Heights.

Heya there John. Welcome to the Discourse! I hope you find it fun here in the land of Aetheria.  Anyway there are a lot of topics which you can feast your eyes on. Then if you want to be updated i with the latest card releases as well as cards in development stages  you can do so in the playing card plethora and the design and development forum. :) We have a neat search function that you can utilize when looking for particular topics. If the topic is non existent in this world you are very much free to start it yourself.

Hey, John - welcome to your new "house of cards"!

If you're heavily into vintage, you need to introduce yourself to JMRock - the guy's got a good-sized collection, much of which is vintage.  On eBay I got some circa-1950 New Fan Backs from him, still sealed.
