pretty sweet trailer! I signed up to get the email updates.
So is this your company? I'm a little confused haha
subscribed.
is the deck in the trailer one of your upcoming products? it was a quick flash but the design seems to be detailed and elegant!
That trailer was extremely impressive! The deck looks so awesome! I'm guessing its a black deck but I hope not because of chipping :(
Either way, I'm buying it!
Caught a little glimpse... ;D
I'd be guessing it's a prototype because nobody has it yet and there hasn't been any word about the deck or the company yet. The trailer is awesome and that little picture of the deck looks really nice. It looks very detailed so we'll have to wait for a better picture to really get a good look at it.
No offense but dear lord that name is awful. Maybe it's because I'm used to anything on the web ending in "OR" reminding me of "LEETZOR" or "HAXXOR" but yeah, wow. :P
However, that has nothing to do with what's at hand here. Looking forward to seeing your design. Based on what I've already seen, it looks great, but you already know that. :)
i am going to pick up some i like this deck i like the back and the color of black that they used one it do you guys now if this is going to be a limited?
I'm expecting a 2500 deck run. It's a new company and I doubt they'll throw in big bucks for their first product. Probably just a small test and see the responses before jumping into bigger expenditures.

Well everything is limited these days. The term really doesn't mean much. No company is going to print decks over and over and over again. They will usually do a 5000 deck run or maybe a large run of 10000. Those numbers are just examples. There are more decks but they are still "limited". So my guess would be yes these are going to be limited, just like most other decks. The real question is how "limited" and what is the demand for them?
I am sorry if I missed out on part of the competition, but when and where will it be available? What competition?

OOOPS lol, wow, what a fool I've made out of myself lol. I meant CONVERSATION. LMAO
wow, another classy deck. 8) i wonder how the pips, court cards and aos look like, hope i'll be like the mana deck! :D
ya i agree too why would you 2 deck to have the same design ?? and looking at the tuckbox and back design i think that the court card all that will be much betterwow, another classy deck. 8) i wonder how the pips, court cards and aos look like, hope i'll be like the mana deck! :D
Why would you want two decks to have nearly the same design? Better to be original. If I know #F, it'll be original and well-designed.

I hate to break it to you guys, but its all standard faces except for the jokers and AoS :(
I don't have them but I've seen them.I hate to break it to you guys, but its all standard faces except for the jokers and AoS :(
You've got the pictures to the Jokers and AoS already? Post 'em up!
I did want to make custom courts but couldn't due to a bunch of different issues~ meh.
is that countdown on your site untill these are released? if so i wont be able to get.
i better check my posts before i post next time. :'( it seems i keep messing up and clearing up misunderstandings. :'(
I did want to make custom courts but couldn't due to a bunch of different issues~ meh.
What's the handling like?
The countdown is when the store opens and when it does there'll be more than just the deck ;)
Also the deck isn't as limited as you might think so I'm sure you can get your hands on a few even if you don't line up for them.
Is it just me or does the joker seem to resemble reaper?
To be honest, despite all the dark-themed decks out there, I like it!
Can you tell us what the stock and finish is please? What's the handling like?
The stock is I think generally agreed to be best one out there due to a secret poll we did. : )
The joker looks more like a hawk or falcon to me.+1 >:(The stock is I think generally agreed to be best one out there due to a secret poll we did. : )Can you tell us what the stock and finish is please?

That doesnt help.... Does the finish have a name? And when you say performance coating do you mean like what Ellusionist uses? Can you tell us what the stock and finish is please?
Stock is very similar to white lions. Finish is standard performance coat.

There's no dating code (sorry I don't know how to describe the code) on AoS, how could we date this deck 30 years later? :P

The AoS spades isn't what I was expecting but it does look good! I'm not sure what it reminds me of but whatever it is it's not a bad thing hahaHaha, notice how you kinda copied what I just said lol?
It seems as if the back and AoS are very similar but the jokers are less similar in style to the rest of the deck... Does anybody else feel that way?

Haha, I was just teasing you. It's just that a couple words you said were the same and I found it funny to make fun of that. The AoS spades isn't what I was expecting but it does look good! Not at all. We both weren't expecting this to look as it does. I also mentioned it reminded me of something that I can't place my finger on (maybe it's master deck, but I'm not sure). I also talked about the jokers.
Don't shoot the messenger, but the guy said, "We are skulkers" and I didn't know what the H a skulker was, so I looked it up... Turns out, I'm not a skulker... hahaha!!! Dictionary Online: Noun1.skulker - someone shirking their duty by feigning illness or incapacity malingerer (http://www.thefreedictionary.com/malingerer), shammer (http://www.thefreedictionary.com/shammer) shirker (http://www.thefreedictionary.com/shirker), slacker (http://www.thefreedictionary.com/slacker) - a person who shirks his work or duty (especially one who tries to evade military service in wartime) Also turns out that Skulker is the name of a villain in a cartoon my son watches, Danny Phantom... |

There is almost always a Copyright date on the bottom or top flap of the Tuck Box.
Heres a pic of the ring....
Maybe they'll be selling it? hint hint.... ;)
Yeah that is a snazzy wring. I wouldn't be surprised if they had a few for sale
Also turns out that Skulker is the name of a villain in a cartoon my son watches, Danny Phantom...
Wait wat? The store opens on friday? Isn't that the same release date as the Galvanic playing cards' kickstarter?Friday is the 10th and the Galvanic Deck goes on Kickstarter on the 15th
Hehe. Thanks for the clarification. I was over-hyped about the Galvanic deck, and I thought it would go up on Kickstarter on the 10th. My bad ::)Wait wat? The store opens on friday? Thanks. I did submitted my email, but the mail from them was marked as a junk mail so I didn't notice this.
did u already get them and if so make a tutorial .He just won them so no, he didn't get them yet.
so i won a brick of these from their fb contest, so im really likely these guys.
yea let me put it this way, as soon as they tell me they are sending them to me i will try to see when i can do an unboxing and then a review. i will post both here. but they have yet to pm for me to claim my prize. That may take a while :(
well im hoping soon, i think it makes since that i won the contest these would be shiped out before others from their store.
It's almost here. Less than 23 hours from their countdown timer on the official page.Ugh! Can't wait for it!! Who here is planning on getting something on their website, and what?

Ehh The back design is ok... standard faces. Awesome jokers, decent AoS.... I'll probably get 2 or 3I feel the same way: a D&D amount of hype for a not-so-great-to-say-the-least deck... I have VERY mixed feelings about their company...
Early release anyone? ;DNice finding the link :) The prices are not too bad for the cards and uncuts but it is pretty expensive for the other stuff.
http://www.skulkor.com/products (http://www.skulkor.com/products)
Heh, they redirected that already. Oh well, everyone will just have to wait.I just had to sign in then manually type in the link and it worked.
maybe they will change it when the acctual release happensThats what I was thinking to... it prevented me from buying early
SKULKOR NEWS ON SHIPPING RATES:
"Our current rate is flat for better value since most brothers have purchased our Royal Package and other items in bulk. The size of uncut sheet alone costs more than the flat shipping. For small orders, we will have new direct checkout buttons in EXPRESS CHECKOUT. You will be able to purchase items that go into small parcels for rate accordingly." - Skulkor
If I get referred to as a "brother" I will go ahead and smack someone.I almost died laughing when I read that!
I get that marketing your fans as a team is very effective, but it's just making it sound like some insane cult that kidnaps and rapes ethnic women. I'd love to pick up a deck to support #F's work, which I enjoy, but I don't think I can justify it - the idea of having something related to this sitting on my shelf seems silly.
I can't imagine going "this is a vintage deck of Bicycle cards, all the way back from the 40s, and this here is the Skulkor deck and I am a brother - join our revolution!!"
I feel they have some great strengths, Paul pointed those out in an earlier post, but they are not playing to them. I always thought Bedeceived was cheesy, but this is like Cheesyness's Central Cheesequarters.
These are my personal opinions - so don't take them too seriously. :)
The site in all likelihood did not crash. When a site crashes, the server gets overloaded and you wouldn't be able to access anything on there, including an error page. If you do access something, the load time would be more than a few seconds. There are a few solutions to get around a crash, such as a cloud system where a cached version of your site is hosted on a different server and people could temporarily access that. They probably faked a crash to try to up the resale of these. They say the site crashed, the decks were hard to get, the price goes up like many other decks(Black Crown, Red artifice, to name a few) I doubt it was a legitimate crash.
Crashes don't just happen with high volume of traffic. When E's or D&D's sites go down, it's because of the immense number of refreshes that happen. On top of that, it's not just a few people checking out it's hundreds/thousands of people spamming "F5" on their keyboard the second a link doesn't load quickly.
You can't expect me to believe that a company with a few hundred likes on FB is capable of garnering traffic that crashes their server. We've had close to 200 people browsing this forum simultaneously, and constantly refreshing, and the most server overload I've had to go through is a few extra seconds of load time, and AC is hosted on a terrible server as is. :P
Jeez, talk about taking your work too seriously.
If i wanted 1 deck, shipping would cost more than the deck. I'm just not ok with that. I think i will be passing on this deck. Maybe I can grab some from a reseller with good shipping
i asked about stock and finish
i asked them what stock and finish they said
- Zagan Zaz Hall (http://www.facebook.com/zagan.hall) what finish and stock is this deck ?
- Skulkor Illusion (http://www.facebook.com/skulkorillusion) They've changed the name for the finish and stock recently. Have you used White Lion before?
- Zagan Zaz Hall (http://www.facebook.com/zagan.hall) yep i have the white lions is it the same as them ?
- Skulkor Illusion (http://www.facebook.com/skulkorillusion) Very similar, but in our opinion, a little more slick and spring-ie.
Interesting. How did you come up with Hong Kong?
I just tried to check-out with a Hong Kong address and it gave me a shipping quote higher than that of shipping to Canada. I don't think it's Hong Kong. Unless maybe they've got a warehouse in US to ship out the decks, while their headquarter's based in HK.

What's wrong with 8pm PST? I know it's 12PM in GMT+8 (for China, Hong Kong and Taiwan), but I remember there have been releases at 8pm PST. Correct me if I'm wrong.
I think we will all know when we got the package.
But I think I didn't see any currency converter when I order mine.
Grand Total | $34.00 |
Subtotal | $21.00 |
Shipping & Handling (Skulkor Standard Shipping Rate - Fixed) | $13.00 |
This shipping thing perplexes me. It isn't that hard to work out, and in the US you can easily determine your cost. They must be intl because there is really nothing to "negotiate" otherwise. but even then, their costs are astronomical! So odd to make almost all their customers rethink the purchase or not bother. And why 8 weeks to ship? I thought the deck was printed? Seems like there are some things they aren't being truthful about.I feel the same way. Their "dark" site and cultish ways are weird, and to a company that is just starting out, and already selling rings, magic, cards, etc., it feels like their is something he doesn't want us to know. Making people think they are based in the US (well he never said that, but we all assumed it) does make it feel like he is hiding something from us, and it does rub me the wrong way. They could be 100% honest, but as of this point I'm not sure how I feel about this.

If they are not in US, they had to say this when one of their brothers came to this forum. Up to now, I still don't know the stock and finish of the decks. Similiar to White Lion is the answer... damn, somehow I want to cancel the order... :'(
I enjoyed the trailers but a good flourishing video would have sufficed, I'm not too keen on the whole brotherhood thing, it's an interesting idea but not something that I would feel much apart of anyway as they put a heavy empahsis on magicians and Im not one. Maybe I'll get a deck sometime down the line but not from the site.
I am interested to know though so can someone explain what the difference is between the red wax seal deck and the regular deck?

It adds a bit of style and "antique" feel to the deck, but it's mostly an excuse for them to make more money.

The red wax seal is a normal deck I believe with a small bit of wax dripped into the box, with a stamp (or ring) pressed into it to make the skulk or logo. It is purely for looks.
I personally don't think that these cards are good enough to cost much more on the market in a few weeks than they do right now.I enjoyed the trailers but a good flourishing video would have sufficed, I'm not too keen on the whole brotherhood thing, it's an interesting idea but not something that I would feel much apart of anyway as they put a heavy empahsis on magicians and Im not one. Okay cheers, it would have been nice for them to change the back design aswell but it's a nice addition to the collection, maybe I'll look for them on the market after a few weeks but I imagine they'll be very expensive at that point.
Cheers NathanCanadas for you input ;)
Does anyone know what's the big difference between the Frater and the Omega ring? It's like a $100 difference yet they look pretty much the same..

I've looked on the website and I can't find any information at all about them. Somehow though the three rings are all different.
I just asked this on their FB.
i think the wax sealed decks are the same as well but then i notice that for the luxury package, it can include 1 red wax sealed classic uncut sheet. they make it a point to state that it's a red wax sealed uncut which would lead me to think that the red wax decks are different. because if it's just a seal on the tuck box, the uncuts would be the same.
another thing is, they called it a classic uncut sheet...i assume it's just the regular deck but if u read the item description for the regular decks it says every brick includes a wax sealed classic deck as well which is the red wax sealed deck. so there has to be more than just a red seal on the box. maybe the jokers or the aos are different. but either way it has to be different otherwise they would not refer to it as a red wax sealed classic uncut sheet if the only thing that was different is the box.
also i think they're definitely in north america. when the site first came out the flat rate shipping within north america was 27 and international was 43 or something like that.

I wouldn't cancel if I were you, but saying "Similar to White Lions" is no awnser. I'd rather him say "It's our own secret blend" or something like that

Do you know what I worry about most? They don't even say which stock and finish were used, I worry that they might not be made by USPC. I don't know, I just don't feel good.
I think they are probably based is North America somewhere because the shipping is cheaper in North America.
So, who bought the skulkor deck or something else that they have for sale?I`m not going to get any of these. With all the new decks coming out I would rather get those than a mediocre deck from a start-up company if a new company is going to suceed you have to make something spectacular (Tendril, Vortex, Russels decks, ect.) You cant have just a decent deck and do very well. Also this weird brotherhood thing drives me crazy.
I havent bought any yet and I'm in no hurry to do so. I don't like the design much and they havent told us what the stock and finish is so its probably nothing special.
A flat rate Priority Mail envelope costs less than what they're charging me to ship three decks and it arrives in two to three days. They're stating up to eight weeks for delivery - that's ocean shipping time, not air freight time. I could drive from one corner of the contiguous 48 states to the opposite corner in less than eight weeks. Hell, I could drive one lap around those states at the national border/ocean shore in less time!
The only possible currency conversions in North America would be Mexican pesos, Canadian dollars or the currencies of a handful of Caribbean and Central American countries. I can't imagine where in North America it would be, excluding the US. Canada, maybe, but I just don't think so - it's that whole broken English thing. Canadians don't speak exactly the same English as Americans, but it's close enough!
Tell me, Aaron - where do you think they would be if they're in North America?
It's a silly ad campaign, yes. I bought three decks. I like the style, despite their lack of full customization, and if the stock is as described, it sounds like it would be pretty smooth-handling.

You think that someone who wrote a huge thread about customization, and the art of design would fully customize this deck. It's especially dissapointing due to the fact that he put so much time into everything out (rings, bracelets, clips, etc.). I just feel if were to put that much effort to detail in everything else, half o which doesn't matter, I would at least customize the deck entirely.

I didn't want to be the first to say it, but Loldude hit the nail on the head! Honestly if you're going to talk the talk you should walk the walk. This deck is a huge disappointment from a looks point of view!

Thanks. I love the backs, and especially the jokers. I love how he has created a community (even though I feel like a cult is forming). When decks use bike faces, such as Mana, it doesn't bother me, but when you go this far to make your product perfect, why settle for good, when you could go for great?

1. Total cult vibe haha
2. The jokers do looks pretty nice
3. The backs have almost nothing that sets them apart from most other decks.
4. Standard faces
After you make a long post about how bad other decks are you are really putting a lot of expectations on your own. In this case I considered it a big letdown.
at least the front of the box looks awesome haha i really like the box i wish it was the other way and i loved the cards more and hopefully the handeling and stock will be awesome too if it is like the white lions or more slick and spring ie as they say

The boxes are not good enough. Look at those T11 boxes (Monarchs, Chrity:Water, ...), they don't have white cut edges. I noticed the white edges of the Skulkor boxes when first time I saw the pics, not good enough... :'(
Boxes are great, but boxes are like people. It's on the inside that counts. Remember the Monarchs? Great boxes, ok decks, which doesn't cut it! Don't run 3/4ths of a marathon. Push through it, and finish what you started.

haha i agree but at least in my opinion there good and not both terrible outside and inside the backs are starting to grow on me they look cool on the trailer

If I get some, I will keep them sealed purely for the box, same reason why I got Monarchs.
I do very much like the backs. I know it seems like I'm completely bashing this deck, but I'm not trying to all out hate it. I'm trying to let PoundFFFFF (Or however many F's) what I think he should change if he ever were too create another deck.
P.S. Thats the point of the trailer, to make the product look good, even if it isn't necessarily great :)
I'm not completely ragging on him. I ragged on him a little and on the deck a lot. I still stand by what I say for the back. I didn't totally rip into him. Just as much as you or anybody else has on people on here. Thanks for letting us know that he only did the back. I guess he isn't to blame for the other parts of the deck. Nonetheless, I'm just stating my opinion.
A collector called Jeremy did some researches and found they are based in HK. He wanted to post the following pic but the account hasn't get approved yet.
Thank you, Jeremy.

YES, thank you, Jeremy! I knew they weren't U.S.-domestic, and I strongly thought I saw Hong Kong somewhere when I ordered... Now we know what the deal with the shipping is. I still remember the huge shipping I paid on the Bike Clot decks I bought from Clot Designs, Ltd.

Nonetheless, I'm just stating my opinion.
Rag on the deck to your heart's content, but you were also dragging in his long posts about his thoughts on deck design, which some found a bit polarizing. I try not to make it too personal these days; I'll go after someone's ideas and opinions rather than the person when I can. I rag on Merz67's deck design constantly like it's my personal whipping boy, but I've only had good experiences with Merz67 as a retailer, so I pass on praise about that - his shop's surprisingly well stocked, with some items that can be hard to find (aside from his own designs). I regret not snapping up his mini Tally Ho decks when I had the chance.
But you get my point. He has little to do with the deck, and that little he does have to do with it was the result of being commissioned to do someone else's bidding. I have a buddy who works in graphic design and he tells me some of the things his clients request are absolutely horrific - he does his level-headed best to talk them out of it, but if that fails, he gives them what they want which often results in them thinking it looks like crap, but it's like ordering a cake from a bakery and telling the baker precisely how you want it baked despite having no baking experience whatsoever.
Do you remember that sxjy0109 tried his HK address and found the shipping fee to HK was more expensive than to Canada. What do they plan to hide? ??? ???
I guess it makes more sense to them if they kept the stock where there were printed and ship from there. Otherwise they'll have to put more money into shipping from US to HK, then the packaging for hundreds of orders (yes. probably not thousands). I wouldn't really say they were necessarily HIDING something, it's just they never really talked about their origin with the whole brotherhood thing going on.If and only if the decks are made by USPC. ???
Skulkor (http://www.facebook.com/Skulkor) Zagan Zaz Hall (http://www.facebook.com/zagan.hall) Currently our carrier ships our order through USPS, but we'll always try to negotiate and find the best offer for our supporters. They may still say "finally we found a carrier that is better than USPS, so we don't use it..."
Shipping international. When I orderd 55 decks and the white porpers was 49 dollars. To the UK and after the shipping prices changed now it should be 180 people who had high charges are getting refunds and people who payed way low like me they'll pay the rest for you they said they have there brothers backs
@Don Boyer
I'm sorry. I didn't know that he was only commissioned for the back of the deck. I also wasn't trying to completely rage on him because I quite honestly think the backs look cool. I just didn't get why so much work was put into everything else when the deck could have been better, but now that I realize that he had no control makes a lot more sense, and I'm not as disappointed as I was before.
I know I was being a little harsh on Pound, but that is before I knew that he only designed the back, and I am sorry. I must've missed that post that said he only was commissioned the back.
Although, I take back what I said to Pound (Because he did great on the backs), I would just like to redirect it to the Skulkor company in general, because although what I said about the whole "Design" thread that pound made is irrelevant, I still feel strongly about everything else that was said before, and I feel what I said still applies for the company as a whole, and especially the head of this company.
Yeah I understand how commissioned work goes. I don't need some little lesson in it. I have three friends who are graphic designs and illustrators. I know the ropes. Nonetheless Poundffff spoke about the whole design process (some of it I agreed with and some I didn't). The fact is we don't know how much of it was his idea or not. It being his work I expected more and I honestly thought it was a pretty terrible back. I'm sure he's a fine artist and I know the rest of the deck isn't his work. In the end I was just commenting on how he talked so much about good designing and he couldn't follow through in his own work.
It may not have been totally his fault being a commissioned piece but he did choose to do it. In the end I'm going to speak my mind about it, I'll just try to not rag on Poundffff as much.

Sounds like they were having shipping calculation glitches like D&D and Blue Crown have in the past. I don't see why it should be so hard to figure out what it costs to ship something automatically - this ain't the Stone Age!
Quoted from their FB update:Thanks! But I can not 100% trust these brothers... :-\

Due to licensing and registration, we were unable to reveal the name for the stock or finishes for our Skulkor Deck. Now we have solved the problem! The stock we use is Aristocrat with Linen Finish. Thank you for your patience and your support!

They should have been very proud to say this unless the decks were not manufactured by USPC.
is linen a good finish isnt magic better ?
it has from uspcc on the box
I still don't get the big deal why they couldn't just say what they were. I'm not aware of any legal USPCC reasons about "licensing and registration." I've been talking about stocks on Tendril for months, and certainly haven't heard a peep about it. Odd.They probably just forgot to tell us... or they didn't want to tell us but now they decided to tell us.
I'm not 100% on the stock, but the Aristocrat decks are Linen finish and I think Aristocrat stock. They handle well and feel slightly "thinner" to me. Perhaps just slightly less slippery than Magic finish.

I think they read this post and see that people are doubting them.Hmm I don't think thats the case but its certainly possible.
So they have to tell us about the decks.

Wasn't there a member here who told us about him working on the Skulkor even before the release of the products, launching of their website or even their facebook page? I'm pretty sure he posted on Discourse.

He posted here at the beginning of this thread but I haven't seen a post from him in a while.
Here's an interesting conversation on a Skulkor post on Facebook.
It makes no sense to me why they are holding off the shipping.
It actually makes the decks cheaper to not have the Bicycle/Bee/Tall-Ho branding on it.
On a 2,500-5,000 print run... if you don't have the Bicycle Branding on it... you save over 50 cents per deck!
That's a $1250-2500 savings

the brick box picture which magicaddictz post , you will only get it if you buy the luxury or royal package and blood package .. blood package will be a new package that they are going to have
Hmm... Linen Finish and Aristocrat stock is a new combo! (I think)
I don't think I own any Linen finish decks but I've heard good things about them. This makes me want to order them to try out Linen finish and the new combo!

i thought every brick came in that where did you hear this ? also i got 2 luxury packages so will i have 4 cases ?
Hmm... Linen Finish and Aristocrat stock is a new combo! (I think)Are you being serious? Linen=Air Cushion with a different name. No more, no less. I though we all knew that already.

I have a blue candle here, anyone want to buy a Black Crown with a blue Wax seal on it? It'll be a one of a kind ::)What about an emerald artifice with a silver wax seal? ;D

@don boyer what happened to your fame? its showing only like 30 some for me. yesterday it was 100+
"Linen" is also the term used by many other companies to refer to their own air-cushion-type finish. We're talking about USPC decks here though, and USPC only has two finishes - smooth and air cushion. Aristocrat decks still use the term "linen" for the same reason that Bee decks use "cambric" - it's just part of the branding.
so im pissed off with skulkor and pretty much done with them. I won a free brick and I am waiting 8 weeks for it. Since its free i dont complain. then i find out they have the cool brick box for the decks and the only way to get it is to buy atleast 2 bricks. which means i would have to buy another brick just to get it. honestly once i get my brick trading half keeping the rest and then im done with them. would rather spend my money with aethercards much better stuff IMO.Would you just read what you wrote... Really??? You won a free brick... Some thankfulness and appreciation is what you should be showing... Who cares how long it takes and why do you feel so entitled... How old are you?

If I'm going to get 2 bricks, I want 2 brick boxes... the whole point of a brick box is to have a brick to fit in it... if you have 2 bricks but only one brick box, then one brick is without a home!

yep if you get two bricks you get two wood boxes I'm sure the first night on the site it said every brick comes with a box if you get 12 decks everything they do keeps changing ha ha
I think the case contains 2 bricks. Not a normal brick box.
I'm not sure, but I'm not buying 2 bricks for that.

I thought that at first as well. Someone told me it was only large enough for twelve decks. But then again, he could be wrong as well...
All this "secret brotherhood" crap's going to blow up in their faces in the end, I believe. They must have widened the eligibility because their package deals contained all kinds of crap in them, some of which wasn't clearly explained, and were insanely expensive on top of their whopping shipping costs. I can't imagine they sold more than a handful of those and they knew they'd be stuck with a buttload of handmade boxes. They'd be better off simply selling the blasted boxes.
Ohhhhhh....well that makes perfect sense now lol. As I was. :P 8)
Like we've discussed before, it's just their way of marketing. They've certainly attracted some attention, look at all those people with their logo as their profile pictures. It's working well, regardless of whether it's towards the positive or negative.Yes but 10 $500 vouchers is $5000, they could half fund their deck with that. Pretty much everything they sold was because of the vouchers.

Yup, a requirement. Needless to say I didn't enter.
I just purchased two of the decks. No doubt I'll have forgotten about them by the time they arrive, whenever that may be. But that will just make it more pleasant, I suppose.
I'm not really into their whole marketing idea about revolutions, and brotherhood and whatnot. It's brave of them to have such bold packages with jewellery and wax seals and everything. I'm not sure what demographic they are appealing to with that, but it's their company. I'll be happy with a couple of decks and then leave it at that.
The decks were delayed
they did not say, except they want everyone to get them at the same time.
they did not say, except they want everyone to get them at the same time.
And you are fine with that???
Thanks JJ.
This is what they had said:
"Hi everyone!
It is sad for us to share this information with the family. However, as a family we will get through this hardship together.
Today, our packaging company has informed us about their delay in producing the hand crafted Skulkor Box. As it turns out, they are not satisfied with the quality of the boxes. Not all the boxes meet their standards and our approved quality. So they are now starting from square one to make all your boxes meet the Skulkor standard. This means that the packaging company will not deliver as promised to meet our April deadline. We are currently working on a new timeline and will announce it shortly.
I know many of you have been waiting for your weapons to arrive and we want to apologize for this delay. Things are completely out of our hands right now. Even we are getting a little anxious.
The only thing assuring us right now is that the company is working hard to make it right and make sure that the product you receive is nothing less than perfect. And despite their delay, we have thanked them for their dedication to the quality of the packaging.
Again, we are truly sorry about the delay and we really appreciate your patience! Thank you all for your support!
Sincerely,
Skulkor"
Don, I didn't want to be the first to post about asking for a refund, but I asked them for a refund as well. They asked me for my order #, which I gave them, and I am not waiting for a response. If they had been a bit smarter, the skulkor "brothers" would have given away credits a bit lower. Say their "luxury package" cost 300$. They could have given 250$ of credits so those 10 people would, for the most part, have payed 50$ extra of their credit, + and extra 50$ for shipping. Anyways, I'm done with this.
Edit: I successfully got my refund, although there was an .81$ fee out of the 13$ I originally payed.
finaly all orders are shipping on the 21 =D
finaly all orders are shipping on the 21 =D
My gosh missed out on this is there a way for me to get my hands on 1 or a couple?? anyone planning to sell em??
I was beginning to wonder if Skulkor was just a big scam. Take all the money, promise the moon and then disappear. Good that the product is actually out there. Still, so strange that they took SOOOOO long to get the decks together. I basically got my deck funded, printed and delivered to me in the same timeframe.
I am getting a brick free, so if they were a scam i did not care :)Did you win one of their contests?
Not to mention if you did get the credits, what would you use them for?
It's classic bait-and-switch. At least they offered the cash refund option.
And the deck can't be TOTALLY sold out - many people here (including myself) opted to cancel our order and get refunded rather than waiting because it seemed like such a scam.
I don not for even a single second regret canceling my order.

How is it bait and switch, they did ship out the decks, I can confirm that as I received mine and a review is up on my channel.
Just wondering is there any other place than skulkor that sell this deck.I'm not sure but I don't think so. I know that many resellers didn't want to invest in such a shady company.
I don't wanna too much on shipping.
Just wondering is there any other place than skulkor that sell this deck.yup .. and also the max purchase is 2 brick each .. so reseller has to make alot different order so the price will be more expensive

These Skulkor folks should be ashamed of themselves. What a crummy way to run things. Really glad I steered far away from all their weirdness.Me too. They are just committing one shameless act after another. I find it sad that the community has come to a point where you support those who cheat us.

I didn't mean you. I meant we, the community as a whole. And by "support" I mean buy products from such a shady company. It's similar to backing bad deck projects on Kickstarter just to have all the new decks that come out, in case that deck gets funded. If everyone did that, all the Kickstarter projects, whether good or bad, would be successful.
Don you are misunderstanding me. In my post I wrote the word "you" and I meant to write the word "we". I'm not talking about a specific person, I'm talking about us as a group. Skulkor wouldn't have happened if 50% of us on these forums hadn't backed the deck. And those kickstarter crap decks sometimes do get funded, and what I'm saying is that we should try to limit our backing of these as much as possible so we are sure that people don't even think to themselves that they have a chance of designing a deck and make some quick money.
I don't mean to judge anyone's decisions. Maybe we should just think twice before pre-ordering a deck. Think about the consequences putting this deck on the market will have and thinking whether we really want it or if we are buying it in case it gets funded so you can have all decks.
Since I got a refund, here's what they sent me:
