The court figures are small - as if seen at a greater distance and thus taking up less width than a traditional court card.  That wouldn't be so bad were it not for all the elaborate background work practically smothering the courts, making the figures look more like an afterthought.  If he made the figures wider or made the background with more negative space, he'd have something very special, I think.
I had the same thought when I saw them.

At least the tuck is planned to have foil, and not metallic ink, so it will stay shiny.

Don, when an athlete trains with weights does it throw off their game in whatever sport they may play? No. The training with additional weight provides them with greater control and precision over muscle movement and ability with whatever they may use to play. Using a heavy "training" deck is supposed to do the same thing. I don't think it throws anything off.
That depends on the sport, and training methods and the specific goal. You also have to factor in the level of experience those players already have. Even at the JV/C grade level, they've had at least a year of training.

I can see this training tool being of benefit for learning the movements of flourishes, but it will take people new to cardistry time to adjust to using a deck of cards (flex, grip etc).

It's why most ball-throwing or -kicking sports regulate the permissible composition, size and weight of the ball used in their sport.  American baseball players LOVE Japanese baseballs.  They contain a rubber core that allows for hitting the ball to a greater distance than they'd normally be able to using a US-regulation baseball.  Which is why MLB never permits their use, just as they don't allow larger, smaller, lighter or heavier balls that are beyond their specifications.  All the players practice on equal footing using in essence the same tools of the trade.
Adding on to Don's section here - training sometimes involves something heavier (American football filled half way with water) to compensate for specific events that can happen in the sport. But at that point, it's not a finesse/technique training issue - it's a strength based one.

The BackerKit invites are being sent out for the Moriarty V2 reprint Kickstarter.

All repeat backers (of the first Sherlock KS project and the V2), both domestic and international, will have the option to add-on a Moriarty V1 deck. To compensate for shipping for all repeat international backers, you've all been given an 8$ credit that's the price of the V1 available on BackerKit. At the moment there's only a limit of 1 V1 per a backer, but that may change later on.

If any anyone has an issue PM me or email me at brendan@kingswildproject.com
Any idea on when BackerKit access will be locked down?

I'm a fan of Shane's art, but this strikes me as poor form.
A second Kickstarter when he hasn't fulfilled the first -- really?
From what I understand of Shane's update on the original KS project, there were a lot of messages from others asking if they could pick up decks after the first project ended. It got the point where basically all of the 1st run was accounted for, with no extras available, so he started another project for those people.

Early Bird Unlimited Deck - 9USD per.
Regular Unlimited Deck - same price point as previous project.
Horror on the Orient Express deck is at the same price point.
Tarot deck is going at the same price.

I was thinking three, then thought screw it and bought 4.

The Porcelain deck has some embossing on the front - the Bicycle logo and the koi fish.

I for one am very okay with how Jackson is handling this, and I will most likely grab the corrected deck... and still keep my flawed deck.
And for those that don't know.. I'm an international backer.
Same here. And I'll probably pick up another V1 just for kicks.

5 of diamonds.

FYI, back and tuck are different from what you posted.

Their rewards don't change much either. I guess if it's not broke, why fix it?

They are quite an enigma in my mind as no one seems crazy about them but they are super successful with most of their project.
At least they aren't releasing their previous decks in a different color.

Back when they started out, I liked it a lot. Now, it's just market saturation with too many similarly styled decks in a short time.

Little is known about the Ren deck.  There's no markings on it to indicate the producer or the artist.  It is widely believed, however, that the deck was printed by the same company that printed the Exquisites, Legends and all the Misdirection's Mystery decks - the fabled trade secret known as "the Taiwan factory"!  They handle exceptionally well, though mine are a little prone to warping - nothing that a deck clip couldn't fix.  The artwork's really cool, with custom faces and pips.

Should you get a chance to buy one, don't hesitate.
Guess I'll be going tomorrow to see the price.
......and I just bought the deck. Around 20 USD.

Thanks HolyJJ....

....and very nice additions Verloren, I keep going back and forth on that Butterfly Deck, lol
Yeah, other decks were a higher priority for me due to their rarity (Tendril etc). Walked into the store, no new decks on display, so I nabbed the Butterfly Deck.

2nd Tendril deck I got.

Latest from AlbinoDragon has them putting up Name of the Wind and one of the White Rabbit decks up for pre-order on their website (to be shipped after all NotW pledges have been shipped).
I think the WR White Edition is the re-print.

Went with the early bird elite 8. Already have quite a few of the original decks so didn't feel at all compelled to go for a rare brick, and I don't really care much for brick boxes. Happy with my backing and can't wait for these.

Also the project is 10% funded in under 5 minutes, which is simply incredible
Also went for the Elite 8 (missed out on the EB pledge).

Congrats on a great project Randy.

Found this sucker recently. I had buried it on my bookshelf by accident.

I finally received all the Fed 52 decks. Wish I'd bought 2 brick boxes instead, the one that I have isn't enough to store everything! :-[
Received mine as well. Wish I had ordered more of the black Reserve Notes though. The tuck is amazing.

amosyzk

+1 received a pair of decks from him recently. communicative via PM.

Guys, I like a good joke as much as the next guy, but we're getting more tangent than topic at this point...  What are your thoughts about the deck?

Me, personally - I've said it before recently.  I'm a little tired of the 52-cooks-and-the-soup-du-jour method of making an art deck.  It's moving in all directions at once, ultimately ending up nowhere.

From the initial images provided, I prefer the Playing Arts deck more. With the Playing Arts deck, most of the custom images paid homage to the appropriate suit.

I do like the juggler for the MCAD project.

24
Ordered and received! =)

Don't think I ordered a Fatboy deck though.

25
Kinda meh on this one. De-sensitized to their art after so many similar decks.
