Magical Cardistry Bonanza / 10 non gimick tricks you should have

So Jamie d Grant got me thinking, he is having 10 card trick no gimmicks, I want to brainstorm 10 close up tricks. Props don't matter, but I was thinking we could come up with the top 10 non-gimmick tricks. I want to be able to give away all the props and even though gimicks can be nice I like the idea of borrowing everything to perform. Right now I only have Wayne Houchin's French kiss, which btw I am working on a really nice twist of the idea using signed coins. If you guys have any you think of put them here. Also it never hurts to say why. I like French kiss for the fact that its very simple yet gets the best reaction of anything I perform.

So a friend of mine says he saw in one of Davids specials a card routine where at the end it shattered. I was trying to find it and neither of us can. Help please

Why was this moved to the magic section? this is not discussing how the trick was done but simply the video? something that even laymen can watch?

So I figured we could share stories of time where we got a girls number (or got rejected) that are funny. He is a good one.

Today at work I was talking to the new girl. I had been flirting with her, performed a bit of magic , and blew her mind. Well I walked her out to her car when we got off and asked for her number. She was trying to give it to me and my phone decided I did not need it or something because every time I went to type it in, it backed out to the main page. Was really embarrassed but luckily she does has my business card from early when I told her I did magic. She said she would message me.

I am selling josh 2x red master, 2x blue master and 1x red bicycle deck for $50 for the total, plus shipping, plus paypal fees. He payed me for the decks today and will be paying for shipping at a later time.

So when performing magic, any time we hand the deck to a spectator you have to worry what they will do. How do you control your audience? for me I personally don't hand it out if I believe they won't follow my directions. I always have people take the deck and look away to put the card in the middle or whatever and I feel you have to let them or your truly being magical.

So I want to share the worse scenarios you have had with cops, how you deal with them etc. Tonight someone told campus police that my buddy and I were smoking a bong. all we had was a lighter. I got to talk to the school board with the others ( I am not a student) and the officer tried to entrapment me.

So some of us do magic and some of us don't but what I want to know what your favorite gaff card is. Personally I like how the white vision deck has a gaff that has one side white and one side the black of the design, I have a trick that uses it.

So I recently picked up The complete idiot's guide to street magic by Tom Ogden and The illustrated history of magic by Milbovrne and Mavrine Christopher with a foreword by david copperfield from my local library and I am finding out that I really enjoy reading the history behind magic not just teach me tricks.
