The funds on only the second day are up to $2,700!
Once the funds reach between $7,000 and $8,000 I will start posting images of what the court cards will look like if the $20,000 tier if reached : P

why not show them now?  i would happily increase my pledge if i could see the court cards.

I am going purely on gut instinct, black and silver crown.  It will make a perfect finish to the series!

I mailed my singles in a 5x7 bubble envelope, it weighs 4oz with the deck/tape/stamps. 4oz shipped First Class is $1.88 in the USA (It is considered a 'package' and not a letter.)

1 deck, (4oz) shipped to most non-USA countries is $4.33 in the same bubble mailer.

Other people might be shipping in different methods/speeds which would account for varying shipping costs. Plus all the different add-ons like insurance, tracking (USA ONLY) etc can really balloon a price.  Also, I personally charge a premium for filling out those horrible customs forms and the hand cramps that come with them! ;)

yes the difference is the shipping. When you pay $8 it is just the deck but if you pay $14 I will cover the shipping charges

Uhh Sean, bad news brother.

ALL shipping charges are on the creator.  They need to be built into the pledge level already, OR must be specified in the reward. (ie asking international backer to add $5)  There is no way to collect more money later.

If I pledged the $8 reward level, you are required to ship it to me, no extra charges.  (in USA)

Also, shipping charges for 1 deck in the USA is only $1.88 and International is around $4.33.

--edit--

double checked shipping on international single deck, it is 4.33 to most countries.

Here is the background on the deck.

Rob from Modern Manipulator asked me to design a card for him in May of this year.  I was just starting work on my Kickstarter (Brimstone) and I could not finish the deck/design he wanted.  Also, MM was disbanded(?) so I gave him the designs to modify and edit how he wanted to.  I was way to busy at the time to finish the back or start on the fronts.  Rob is now working with another company and they are redesigning the deck with my permission.

I wish him all the luck and I would like to see the project take off for him and his new venture.

- Russell

---edit---

This deck is in no way associated with Circle City Card Co. and it is not our next project.   It was a 1/2 finished design I worked on 6 months ago and I let Rob and his new team modify/redesign them.

Circle City Cards is going to announce our next deck in January 2012 and have it ready to go by Spring.

I backed it, good luck!

I am REALLY hoping to see custom court cards on this one. The deck has so much potential, but without custom court cards I feel it will get lost in the 'shuffle.'

Thank you BC, I have wanted to buy a 'regular' deck for a while.

For about $100-$150 online you could have it sandwiched between two pieces of custom cut glass/plexi and get a basic metal frame that would look acceptable.

If you go to a 'Michael's' or Hobby Lobby type store they will charge you around $300-$600 depending on frame, the price drops dramatically because they always have either a 50% or 60% off custom frames. Thats how I have done mine.

The box is fantastic though, not the back art, the box.

Welcome, it's always nice to see the creators talking about their stuff!

I know making custom faces takes a while, but wow, it would be worth it on this deck! I would love to pledge for one if it did!

Sorry to go off topic everyone.

I really thought I had everything needed and ready to go for shipments of the Brimstone deck. I completely miscalculated how much of an ordeal the whole thing is!  I had to ship out the kickstarter backers decks out first, now i have started shipping out the web orders.  I am catching up to 'real time' and I have been shipping out daily.

---edit---
Also keep in mind that shipping and customs can take WEEKS for international orders (even Canada!)
---edit---

I am having a fulfillment company ship out the Americana decks. They should ALL be shipped in 10-14 days after the arrival from USPCC.

I have definitely learned a thing or two on shipping, pay someone else to do it! :)

If anyone has a question on their order, send me an email (my username (at) gmail) or send me a PM on here and we can get your order figured out.

OK... back to the sexy looking Galvanic deck!

Uhh ohh... Ace of Spades, Joker and Back-Art... that's all we have seen?
I am worried it has standard number and faces.

I REALLY hope this will be fully custom!
The guy has serious talent, but i am no longer buying decks that have no customizations other than Ace,Joker,Back.

Ha!  the rewards are almost word for word what i wrote! so is the last paragraph about the uncut sheets and art prints.

also, the KS page lists it as "CARD STOCK : 305 gsm, smooth German playing card board" and the bottom flap with the barcode and USPCC legal info is a cut and paste job. i seriously doubt it is a USPCC deck.

Requoted from UC, apparently Lee Asher sent this to his mail-list...

Quote
First, my apologies for not contacting you sooner. I simply
couldn't write before having a real update about the
Jerry's Nugget launch so many have been waiting for.

Since the server snafu on July 18th, 2011, I've been
working to remedy the situation every day. Unfortunately,
the demand for these decks has caused overwhelming
technical difficulties. I simply have to admit that these
problems have proven beyond my ability to solve right now.
I cannot make the Jerry's Nugget sale happen in 2011.

I sincerely apologize for this situation -- I know that
many of you have really been looking forward to this.

Please don't think for a moment that I'm giving up on this;
there are more options to be explored. When the plan is
truly secure in the coming months, you'll be the first to
know. It's clear the desire to own an authentic deck of
Jerry's Nugget Playing cards is greater than ever -- and I
really do appreciate your patience.

In fact, I've put together a special treat so you won't be
left empty-handed this holiday season.

Starting from the moment you read this email, all the way
through December 31st, 2011 (11:59pm PST), every order made
on LeeAsher.com (including PDFs) will receive a single,
signed, authentic Jerry's Nugget Playing Card as a gift
(one card per purchase). That's right, EACH PURCHASE, no
matter what or how much you buy, receives one pre-signed
JNugg from me.

Your card's color and value will be chosen at random by
LeeAsher.com staff.

Give this collector's card to a friend as a holiday gift,
use it as a book mark in your working copy of Erdnase, or
simply add this piece of Las Vegas Casino history to your
playing card collection! It's yours. Happy Holidays!

Purchase anything from here and receive a pre-signed Jerry's Nugget Playing Card:

Thanks for your understanding as well as your continued
patience.

Speak with you soon.

Cheers,
Lee Asher

I STILL don't see what the problem is... just 'rent' more server space temporarily and get this thing rock n rolling.

Why ruin so many decks to give away cards? I do appreciate what he is doing, but i am still confused. If he has the cards, sell them. If the cards are somehow not 'perfect' and he is needing to remake them, tell us!

In the immortal words of my girlfriend's mechanic... "Somthin' ain't right."

Am I missing something entirely?

---- EDIT---

Apparently I was am missing something, I forgot he 'found' a large stash months ago.
That actually makes it worse somehow.

Seasons wins hands down.  Artifice has a nice look also, I just wish I had the talent to make a completely custom face design. I'm working on one though... ;)

WOW! Thanks for doing that!  Those look completely realistic.

Playing Card Plethora / Re: Framed Uncuts

To my knowledge the uncut sheets do not come with a title on it like "Dan & Dave Smoke and Mirrors," did he add that himself? If anyone can confirm that'd be awesome because they look awesome and I would be much more interested if they do have them.

Going along the same line of thought... are they actual uncut sheets or reprints? It looks like a reprint with a fancy border around it.  I like the idea/style of it, but I would be cautious when plunking down money for it though.

--- edit ---

I am dumb, they are for a personal collection not for sale. Oops!  :P

What is it that you want me to 'fix', exactly? I have your cards in the mail.

I don't appriciate you taking ONE conversation (out of context) posting it for all to see.  As I have stated before, I am shipping the KICKSTARTER decks out first, THEN I will be sending the web-orders. Yes, it is taking longer than expected and I am sorry for the delay. I am/was completely overwhelmed at the positive response from making this deck and I was in no way ready for such a huge number of purchases.  I have been 'catching-up' to orders made each week. Soon I will be all caught up and will have a fast turn around time.

I do thank each person for their pledge/purchase and I completely empathize with you on the length of time it is taking to ship out. Everyones orders will be shipped. CircleCityCards is a new business and we are learning as we go.

---edit---
Again, if anyone has a question about their order, please email me.

The Brimstones have been shipping for weeks now. I have been shipping the Kickstarter decks first, they were the first to back my project and that makes them first in line.  Has it taken me to long to send them out? Yes. I have over 1500 packages to ship out and it is a bit overwhelming. The whole 'business' is just me in my living-room with thousands of cards and mailing supplies, I wish I had a factory to pump these out faster.

Once I have caught up to demand, I will be able to ship decks within 24 hours of purchase. Until then, if anyone has a question on their order please email me anytime.  I'll be happy to give you an update on your purchase.  Rest assured that the decks you have ordered WILL be delivered to you and I apologize for how long it is taking.

As for how long it takes to produce:  A long time.  Adam (Revision 1) is on his fourth proof. He wants to make sure everything is perfect before sending them out. It does take longer, but the end result is a better product.  One of the downsides to using Kickstarter is that it makes the process seem much longer due to the nature of the site.
