So, I bit the bullet in hopes of getting a Jerry but fell short. Here's what came in my set:

London Olympic set (Gold, Silver & Bronze)
Sanguine & Azure
Mechanic
Vaudeville
Curator
Red, Blue & Green Crown set (I'm guessing second edition)
Cartes á jouer (Silver Bicycle)

The set also came with an additional Cartes á jouer outside of the box.

I'm not all that happy with it considering the only deck in the set that was actually a sold out item is the Bronze medal deck [which I was never planning on getting anyhow]. Oh well, I guess it's like a scratch off card; you hope to win big, but you know your chances are slim.

Hmm, you should figure out if the Crowns are v1 or v2. The value difference is pretty huge.

Is there any obvious difference in the boxes? I compared them to ones I know aren't first edition and don't see any differences.

I just checked mine.   The V2's have an embossed box.   Can anyone else confirm that?

Okay.   I'm almost positive those are the V2's.

V1 Crowns have "design by fracturize" prominently on the box bottom, while V2 has the BC logo instead, with fracturize's credit in small print.  V1 blue and red were not in embossed boxes and didn't have that "fade" effect that began with V1 green.  I forget if the V1 green box was embossed or not.  All the v2 decks are.

And the V1 cards have a hidden feature or two...  :))

But back to the point - did anyone ELSE get the box, and what were the results?

@ Don - The Green V1 is not embossed.   I just checked mine.

Except for the Purple NOC, box 1's the same as mine. Personally, I was hoping for at least ONE rare-ish deck.

I got:
1x Azure
1x Sanguine
1x London Gold
1x London Silver
1x London Bronze
1x Americana
1x Curator
1x Green Crown v2
1x Mechanic
1x Black Crown (Kinda Happy About That)

And Strangely............
2x Blue Crown v2

No box will contain any duplicate decks.

I emailed them telling them how they "accidentally" replaced my Jerry's Nugget Deck with a second Blue Crown v2, and they can ship me the Jerry's at their convenience  ;)

Overall though, I think I got a pretty decent selection that in my opinion was well worth it.

You also wrote down the Americana deck TWICE.

Considering you paid $5 a deck and the only deck that cheap at retail is the NOC, the brick was a good deal.  Even if you have these decks, they make great stocking stuffers for your buddies.

Fixed my original post, and changed my second Americana deck, to a Mechanic deck.

I knew no matter what this would be a good deal considering they would only be $5 a pop, but I was just glad I got decks I didn't have (Hearaldy), and the rest of the decks I got are amongst my favorites.

Also, about the stocking stuffers, I gave around half a brick of Curator decks to my friends for Christmas. They all loved them, and even those who thought my collection was a waste o money immensely ejoyed the decks.

Wow, two repeats (the Vaudevilles and Yellow NOCs)--I'd contact their support team. You weren't supposed to get duplicates. That, and you're the first (in here) who got only one of the Olympic decks (the others got the complete set).

I'm just shaking my head seeing all the bricks people got.   Duplicates here, incomplete sets there (Olympics).   What a mess.   Still waiting to see at least one person who got a gold crown or jerry's.   Did they intend to toss in some Luxruy decks as well with some of the other rare decks?

I actually see 3 duplicates in the above photo.

It's making me incredibly happy I didn't buy one. Seems like a completely disoriented mess.

If you look closer, you'll also see thirteen decks.  Everyone got the silver Bikes as a bonus deck.  He apparently also got it in his brick.

And before you guys forget - there's a CONTEST associated with the bricks.  One randomly chosen winner from everyone who bought a box will go to Erlanger with Kevin and Alex to see the USPC HQ and take a tour.

A cooler prize would be to get the chance to raid USPCC's stock room of printed decks. I can't imagine how many unreleased and out of stock decks they have in there.

I remember before they changed their samples policy, they sent me fully sealed decks of S&M, CARC decks, etc. They quickly changed it though after a certain someone made blog posts about the Ask Alexander deck, though. :(

Sorry - I may have been mistaken.  Thought I saw it on the brick sale page, but it's not there.  I must have had it confused with another contest or something.

I didn't even hear anything about winning the tour.   So thats news to me.

As stated above - may have been mistaken.  Probably was, since now I can't find anything that backs that up.  Sorry, folks.

It happened almost two years ago, water under the bridge now. The posts were on the old UC which is gone now, but suffice to say I nearly ripped my arms off and beat him to death with them.

Don. U are not alone. I remember reason about that somewhere too. Should be their current holiday contest or their previous contest. Or was it the 52plus contest where Lee Asher n dnd were also involved.

On a side note. TBC website is soooo not mobile friendly. I cannot properly maneuver ard the site using my iPhone

Well, I can't find anything confirming the existence of such a contest now, so...

And it doesn't surprise me that a media-intensive website would be mobile-unfriendly.  Though if they saw a demand for it, perhaps they'd build a mobile version of the site...

I got me set today, I got:

1 Snow owls
1 Curator
1 Sanguine
1 Azure
1 Blue Verve
1 Yellow Verve
1 Mechanic Deck
1 Blue NOC
1 Vaudeville
1 red crown
1 green crown
1 blue crown

I am happy with it and the brick box is awesome.
People say nothing's impossible, but I do nothing everyday.

Today I found something that reminded me of you. But don't worry I flushed and everything went back to normal.

For the record Cartes a Jouer is simply French for playing cards and is not the name of the deck.
