It seems like the decks are getting worse and worse with every box.

They just seem to put cheap decks and an IAOCP deck in every one...

They released this a week or more ago and it still hasn't sold out. This should show you how much interest there is in this Variety Box. At least The V4 Box  had a Smoke or Mirrors V3 and IAOCP!

Yeah if there is only 144 available and it's been over a week without selling out it deffinetly tells you the quality of this Variety box especially when you compare that to how fast the others sold out.
Mystery is the basic appeal of magic. Once the secrets are known, the magician becomes a mere manipulator, an actor in a suspense drama which has little impact because the audience knows the ending in advance.

this isn't a horrible deal.  It just isn't anything to get excited about.  If you can use the coupon code on these, live in the US, and don't have any of these decks its not that bad.

I got one of the first variety boxes that came out and it was a stretch for me to buy. I almost didn't get it but in the end I'm gald I did. THe prices haven't changed much but the decks have. There has been a noticeable decrease in the quality of the decks. I wonder how long this will continue happening? It's gotta stop somewhere, right...

the problem with the box is that u need to find people that want every deck in order to sell it. cuz no one is buying that just for the iaocp. there are people that will buy it but it'll take a while. if anything throw in a s&m v5 and it'll be better.

The v1 and v2 boxes were an amazing value and came with insane decks for the price you paid. Not to mention, the "random" factor was fun and made it more exciting.

Yeah, the boxes have got worse and worse. The only thing here that I actually have any desire for is the IAOCP, and even that deck isn't top of my list.

I agree with what many have said before me, the only deck I would really want is the IAOCP deck. If I really wanted it I would look on ebay or try to trade for it. I would get a much better deal that way instead of blowing a ton on this box for one deck.

  • Pick a card, any card...no, not THAT card!

  • Facebook:
The biggest problem with the Variety Boxes is that the first couple had a raft of vintage and rare stuff in them.  The newer ones have mostly decks that released this year, some of which are still in release, and most of which anyone who collects cards would likely already have.  The few older decks they're stocking are not terribly rare or hard to obtain elsewhere.

Good deal for a beginning card trader, not so much for one with a little more experience.

If someone really wanted the IAOCP deck, they'd do better buying the book/deck set and selling the book, even with the market glut on books without the deck.  Some forget that the book is also a limited edition, not just the deck.
