Any info on the printer? Doesn't look like a USPCC job to me.

The X cards are for each suite. They are simply extra cards that you can use for whatever you'd like. Making up your own game with those extra cards for example.

I like the deck and it obvious that a lot of time was put into it as well. The timing of the deck is not great though. Too many decks are coming out, plain and simple. One thing I love about this deck is the back! They are very interesting and I honestly would have never tried to pull off a zombie horde for a back, but this deck does it quite well in my opinion. Kudos

I'll back it, Purely for having the coolest name thus far LOL!

I do find the artwork really appealing too.

Probably pick up the Pegleg deck too....

It`s an alright deck. But i dont really like Skulls because they are so over used and this whole deck is based on them. Also i hate Jumbo Indexes and Four-cornered Decks this deck looks okay but i am going to Pass.

I asked a question to the creator of the cards via kickstarter. I inquired if they will be USPCC. When I get a response I shall post it here. :o

I'd guess no - USPC doesn't generally use that style of tuck box.  It looks like a flip-top pack of cigarettes.  Also, looking at the edge of the deck box there appears to be a logo - it's hard to make out but I think the bottom word is "Publishing" or "Publishers" and the top word is something beginning with a "O".

I checked out the Bent Castle website - they have another cool-looking deck, but a bit more traditional.  "Pippoglyph" cards come in only red backs, but it's a wicked deep shade of red.  The cards are all redesigned while at the same time keeping all the standard playing card conventions, such as pip placement, one- or two-eyed faces, weapon placement - the KH is still the Suicide King - and so on.  Only left-side indices on this one.  They aren't that expensive, either.

If many people request to the artist, he might make it USPCC.

I asked if they were USPCC and heres his response:

Chris Pallace says:

These decks will not be printed by USPCC as they will not do a 60 card deck.

These cards will be the same as our Pegleg Pete's Deck. A very high quality paper stock with a linen finish, the look and feel is just like Bicycle cards. They are standard poker size. The print run with be 10,000- 60 card decks packaged in 5,000 2 deck sets.

We have been printing card games for a few years now, and regularly contract (once or twice a year) with playing card printers in both the USA and China. I currently have quote out with both of my regular printers.

Good find on the info - thanks.  I had a hunch it wasn't USPC.

After all, if it is USPCC deck, it should stated somewhere.
If it isn't, I think it will be made in china for the cheapest cost.

If it's not USPC, it can't be a Linoid finish.  That's a copyrighted term belonging to USPC.  Don't think they own the term linen finish, though - it's like owning the copyright to the concept of the playing card at this point in the game.  (Then again, a fair amount of USPC intelletual property is out of copyright and in the public domain - like the Rider Back design.)

After all, if it is USPCC deck, it should stated somewhere.
If it isn't, I think it will be made in china for the cheapest cost.

Dan & Dave's entire series of decks don't say USPC on them anywhere, but that's where they're made.  If I remember right, they state something about a "D&D Printing Company" or "D&D Publishing Company" based out of Hollywood, Calif.

So no USPC statements, logos, etc. isn't a guarantee they weren't made by USPC.  I assumed they weren't based solely on the "tuck box" design, since it looks like a flip-top pack of cigarettes.

I think this guy's trying to go for a quality print job without actually going to USPC since they're not cheap and busy up the wazoo with so many boutique decks in the works.  It could just as easily be Cartamundi or one of the many little print shops around that can produce a finish-coated deck.  He does have quote requests out to China, but it seems he's aiming for at least Cincinnati Bicycle quality.

BTW: I have a new topic related to this last sentence I want to make...
