100 Magic-Con Uncut sheets will be available and all of them signed by the entire 2012 magic con lineup.
Available this Friday at 8pm PST.

Wow, you have no idea how much I want this! I think my favorite thing is I'm pretty sure each card is signed by the same person, i.e. all of the nine of diamonds are signed by the same speaker, and all of the three of clubs are signed by the same speaker. This will be awesome!
-
I'm going to try to pick up a few for the Prize Vault for some sweet giveaways. I'm pumped :bosswalk:
-
Kudos! Signing things isn't easy in large quantities, and that uncut is a must-have.
I'll pass reluctantly, since I know when I log on the site to buy one, they will be sold out already. Nevertheless, I'll try and snag one.
-
With only 100 available, these will be a quick sell out and there are going to be lots of people trying to get them. Like Levi, I also love that each card has the same signature on each sheet, making them all the same but its still extremely limited, so its still somewhat unique!
-
Is there any word on the price of these? I am really interested, but I'm not going to have a ton of money after buying seasons. :-\
-
I haven't heard anything about the price but I think it will be more than the other uncut sheets that D&D have sold which were $30. My guess is $40 - $50 but thats just a guess.
-
Are these supposed to be released now or am I an hour early?
-
They are going to released on Friday if you read up top - I too am hoping to pick one of these up, they'll be a hot item on my list. Never before have I been able to witness the autographs of so many notable magicians ever before. Truly Outstanding!
-

You're about 95.71 hours early.
-
:-[ I thought it was tonite for some reason :-[ :-[ :-[ :mindf-ck: Haha whatever I will get one friday :)
-

These are being released on friday. You may have been thinking about Seasons?
-
In my opinion, the uncut is a "alternative" card collecting item which I dare say not many do buy and collect as compared to decks except for the odd 1 or 2 of your fav decks to place on your wall.
This is a nice an unique deck but not my fav. But the epic thing about this is the fact that you have many many signatures of the best and the brightest in the industry today. Now this is a extremely valuable item!!!
Lucky for me, I'm not a very big uncut fan, or I will go crazy with their website again......
-
i really wanna pick one up only for the signatures not a big fan of the deck
-
I've never bought an uncut before, I was tempted by the seasons uncuts but the cost of shipping all the decks I buy and the risk of customs is off putting so I generally dont make big orders although I would like to sometimes. The fact that these have all those signatures on there and it's a deck I like very much I might pick one up if I can, it would look very nice framed. I'll see.
-
nice uncut sheet .. really glad with dan and dave that they did that i was pretty sad when i cant get the autographed bee uncut .. but now i really like the idea .. btw i did not see don boyer commenting is he still piss by dan and dave?
-
Although I don't really understand the point of uncut sheets these do appeal to me very much, just like the Seasons Uncut. I am wondering what price they will put, probably 50-80$.
-
i cant wait for them i hope i can get 2 or 3 of of them
-

That contributed a lot! You've been a member here for a while so please try to make posts that contribute something instead of extremely short posts that only tell us how many you're going to get.

So get this. An Asian reseller has put a hold on all 100 sheets. Meaning all 100 sheets are already sold out :t11: :t11: :t11:

That's always fun for us :P
That could be true but I've never heard of anyone being able to put anything on hold from D&D, especial the entire stock of an item. Also, it's possible that D&D will only be selling 100 of them but they have many others.

Well have bad news, I asked them on their FB if this was true, and try deleted my post :/

well, If they are trying to run their company into the ground and destroy their fan base they are on the right track. >:(

Either it's confidential info, or they are tired of getting constantly criticized, and in that case they deleted the comment to avoid having to deal with criticism.
-
well I emailed D&D and got a reply saying 3 words "That is not true". It was from Syd. I guess it isnt true then and will be released Friday.

Well, I can believe Syd when he says "That is not true," but believing you that his reply is only THREE words and not FOUR, well - that's another story altogether... :))
Honestly, as imperfect as this business is, you don't believe they'd announce a product launch only to allow a single buyer to swoop in and buy all the stock before the launch date, do you? That's "shoot yourself in the head while aiming for your foot" bad, people!
-
I forgot to check back to see responses. Come on...I had to have at least one troll comment in my forum days lol....I even added the Sinister smiley...D&D are not that dumb.
-
Good job Sinsandman. You had us all believing you. +1 Karma (or is it fame these days)!
-
Haha nice job getting us there! I didn't know why the Bucks would do that, but you never know...
-
You're very right. Back on track though. Piece of advise from someone who hit both MCV2 releases and scored...have your PayPal linked to your account and something already in your cart. This will make check out lightning fast.
-

By "Something Already in Your Cart", how exactly would that help?
-
Kinda has the checkout process already started

how to link to PayPal?
When paying at D&D, you have an option of paying with a credit card, or Paypal. Select the Paypal option and sign in with your account. After you've paid for a few things, Paypal should work flawlessly with you. I really does speed up the checkout process, a key factor when scoring limited items. Unfortunately, theory11 doesn't have that option readily available. :(
-
Since PayPal isn't linked to Dan and Dave, once PayPal opens up, am I guaranteed the order?

that's not link. if it's linked, i can just pay through paypal without opening another tab for paypal.

no. you're guaranteed once you've paid.
-
I wont be able to be online at the time of the release, so if there is someone going for these that could possibly pick one up for me please PM me.
-

i don't think there is any left at the release time. it will be sold out during the member's release. i gave up on this when i know there is member's presale because that asia magic shop will buy more than 50 during the presale
-
What members pre sale?
-
they will be releasing the uncut sheet 1 hour early for members
-
they will be releasing the uncut sheet 1 hour early for members
Thanks, I did actually just see this on their facebook page, you can easily sign up to their newsletter and you'll get the email early also.
-
really i didn't the newsletter would? i can't waait to pick up one of these... i hope i do..... i keep missing the magic con releases
-
I think it's the newsletter but maybe I'm wrong. Sorry
-
If someone is a member, maybe they cold post the link on this thread once they get the special email, like last time with the Tungstene.
-
i contact D&D about the thing if they were sold out as i want the uncut .. and i also roughly ask them the price of the uncut he told me that the uncut have not been sold yet and the uncut price will be around $100 .. i was shocked and i ask him why is that so expensive since mostly uncut are only $30 (at his site) he told me that it is a premium item etc and he also apologise .. at the end of the message instead of thanks ,syd he wrote sorry , syd .. i was pretty touch since i do not think he has any reasons to apologise to me .. even though it very expensive i am thinking of buying 1 and frame it
-
i dont think any reseller will buy more than 10 if the price is $100. so i might stand a chance to buy this
-
same i was intending to buy 4 .. 2 for myself and 2 for my friend (they are asking me to help them buy to save on shipping) but now that i know that the price is not going to be cheap i will only be buying 1 ..
-
$100 is a lot, but I feel it will be worth it for an uncut of this caliber. The only thing I dislike is that a lot of court cards are signed, making it slightly hard to read, but it's overall no big deal.
-
i am not 100% sure they were be sold for $100 .. syd told me around $100
-
I doubt these will be at 100$. Although D&D tend to build hype, they rarely have high prices for their decks and uncuts to start with.
-

I won't be surprised if they are $100. This has many signatures on it, (including Blaine I believe), and sometimes their decks are expensive *cough* Tungstene and Chinatown *cough*.
They know they will sell no matter what, so I feel with all of the signatures and the rarity of this deck, $100 is a great deal.
-
If these are $100, there's no way I'm buying any. At $50, maybe I'd get a couple but anything more than that is too much for me. Now, I'm not saying that it isn't worth $100 because really... look at it... if the decks are going for arounds $30, then an uncut should be double that at the least. And add all the signatures and the fact that there are only 100 of them, $100 isn't a bad price.
-
When Syd said they might be around $100, they'll probably be $99.98 - I wouldn't be surprised of this prices though. This uncut sheet is like no other that I have seen. You still would have to take in the fact that they've never put anything this high up for pricing. So, it should be pretty mysterious to see how much these go for.

Well, it's not 99.98 nor 100. IT IS $249.95. :-[

As usual, the link got out early!
http://shop.dananddave.com/playing-cards/magic-con-paying-cards-uncut.html
VERY overpriced. D&D seem to be overpricing a lot of their products lately...
-
Wow! I was looking to pick one up but had to rethink this. It's a great piece of history to have but then again...very pricey.
-
wow ridiculous :| i really wanted cyril's and dani daortiz's signature sigh* gotta pass on this
-
$250...
WTFing price...
I don't think the signature "worth" more than $100 or $200
it's really overpriced :mindf-ck:
-
Very high price :-[
-
Fucking High !! i already prepare around 130 plus as i wanted to get 1 of the magic con uncut sheet but now $250 i do not think that i am going to buy it .. super overprice ..
-
I find it a little ironic that while the deck flew off the shelves, the uncuts are still up for grabs long after they were made available. That's one hell of a money grab, seriously. $250 a sheet, only 75 available, and only forty have David Blaine's signature on them! (And there's no way of knowing whether you got one of them until it arrives! Niiiiice.) The one plus is that they're forcing people into making separate transactions for each sheet, so one (wealthy) person doesn't just swoop in and grab them all at once.
Seriously, I hope these sit on their shelves indefinitely. I hope they never sell them out. Perhaps they'll learn a lesson about rip-off pricing.
From a collector's standpoint, there's no point in buying this sheet. The price is so insanely high, they're likely to never increase in value despite the rarity - in fact, they might even DECREASE in value. You'd be buying not as an investment, but to have something pretty to hang on the wall. I love fine art as much as the next civilized individual, but I don't have that kind of dosh lying around for a wall decoration.
I'd consider it if they got signatures from Houdini, Thurston, Vernon, Hofzinser, etc.... :))
-
Crazy prices, signed stuff for me is sometimes pointless, when I was a kid I used to love to get signed items wether I bought it online or not, I used to be really into wrestling and would love nothing more to have a signed picture of my favourite wrestlers but I think now the excitment comes from getting up close to your idols or whatever they are and get them to sign it in front of you, not spending $$$'s on already signed items, for me atleast it loses the appeal. Thats not to say I never get stuff signed but only if it's at no extra cost. The last item I paid for that was signed was a picture of wwef/wwe diva Lita or Any Dumas and that was 8+ years ago. In some cases, say if it's someone who has passed away then obviously you dont have the up close option but even then I cant imagine buying a signature from 50 years ago would be very sentimental but that's just the way I think.
Also the $38 for the Fultons, I've backed up DnD a lot but it's just like what I saw from Encarded, people are just cashing in as much as they can on the collectors, they know people will buy this stuff and so it goes on. Look at the LTD decks from ellusionist, I spent about $200 inc shipping to get them and granted I made pretty much all of my money back by selling the extra infinity decks I bought but now they plan on making them available again, we dont know how exactly but initially they said they would only be available during certain dates, here's what was said.......
Last November... Ellusionist wrote...
"The Ltd. Deck will only be available between Nov. 22nd and Dec 31st, ONLY as a Free Gift in the $150 tier or Contest Giveaway Prize"
and
"they will ONLY be available as a gift at $150 level from Nov 22nd - Dec 31st 2011. After that, gone forever."
and Marcus wrote...
"Any LTD decks left in the vault after the Holiday promotion is over will not be sold, and not be destroyed. Contest prizes and perhaps any future promotions - there's no set plan and any wordings people might've seen earlier is not set in stone."
So they covered themselves but really it's just a change of mind from what they originally said. Is it fair, well I may bring it up but I certainly dont care very much, they can do as they please and I'll do as I please, I definatley have a hard time not being sucked in to all the hype of decks and thats why I got the LTD's the 1st time around. Oh well thats me done for now.

It's a little off-topic, but what did you think they were going to do with the leftover Ltd. decks? Drop them in a time capsule for future card collectors?
As I understood what they said, it was the the Ltd. would no longer be available as a premium gift - spend $X, get a deck; that sort of thing. It seemed likely that they'd be up for grabs in contests of some kind. It appears they're having a big blow-out of a contest to push sales a little, giving away what is likely the last remaining stock of this deck, including a whopping 1,000-deck grand prize.
But back on topic - Dan and Dave are definitely seeking after-market prices for that sheet. I don't imagine for a second that it would cost much more than that in the aftermarket. If they were so popular, those sheets would have sold out hours ago. But that price is giving a lot of people pause - and for good reason.
-
there are a reseller at facebook selling a magic con v2 uncut for $300 and $320 for david blaine sign on it .. i bet they bought alot since they are sure there will be david blaine signature on it .. i hope that not all of the uncut sell out and there are still a lot of them left so next time they wont be selling them for so expensive
-
250$???????????????????????... even with all the signatures, that's crazy! 100 would have been more reasonable!
This is even worse than the DB card clips. I really don't understand how they can do that to collectors.
-
Apparently these aren't selling too well since they had to advertise them in their newsletter. They are digging their own grave with these exorbitant prices. The clock is ticking and the tables are turning, D&D!
-
Thats just ridiculous $250! :o :o :o WTF, I really wanted one of these, I was hoping for like $75 bucks MAX. D&D, you are fucking stupid business people 8)
-

Stupid business people? They're very smart business people... thats why they make a lot of money.
And guys, if you really think about it, the price isn't bad considering how many people signed it and who signed it.
-
The V2 launch fiasco I laughed. This I have to shake my head. The same guy who insulted DB on the ridiculously priced clip is charging $250 for an uncut with signatures.
Why? Do the twins need to pay those signers for their signatures? Did DB ask for too much that's why he signed only 40? Did DB refuse to sign all the uncuts because you insulted him on twitter about his stupid dead animal skin clip?
For f--- sake, this is pissing me off big time.
-
Did people pay Babe Ruth for him to sign a baseball? Maybe some people lol but people got his autograph for free and now how much is it worth? A LOT of money.
-
Evan... Stop playing devil's advocate please. What are you? A partner with D&D? Will you be reselling these cards? What's the matter? We all know these are ridiculously overpriced and D&D themselves know it.
These also come with a deck of MCv2:
"Each sheet includes a matching deck of cards, which sold out within minutes of their release during the conference last month."
-

It would have been hard - though not impossible - to obtain many of these because they are limiting sales to one per transaction.
And what fool would pay that kind of money for something that's not even sold out yet? They're still on sale at original retail, $250!
250$? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ?... even with all the signatures, that's crazy! 100 would have been more reasonable!

While I wouldn't go so far as to say they're a dying company, I would go so far as to say they've had more than their fair share of embarrassing and disappointing moments in the last six-or-so months. That these didn't sell out at record speed is shocking and has everything to do with the insanely high price. Over a day later, they still aren't sold out.
Stupid business people? They're very smart business people... thats why they make a lot of money.
And guys, if you really think about it, the price isn't bad considering how many people signed it and who signed it.
Actually, it is. We're talking about famous magicians, to be sure, but most of them wouldn't exactly qualify as A-list celebrities, with the exception of David Blaine, who only signed 40 of them. $75-$100 would have been a more reasonable range.
Did people pay Babe Ruth for him to sign a baseball? Maybe some people lol but people got his autograph for free and now how much is it worth? A LOT of money.
Dude - you're comparing this to a famous baseball player from nearly a CENTURY ago? That's about as useful as comparing apples and barnacles.
-

$250 is very expensive .. i know and i would prefer it to be $100 .. but this is even worse than the DB card clips ?? are you serious , this is worst than the DB card clip ? the DB card clip were sold for $350 for god sake and a normal joe porper card clip will only $30 .. when dan and dave releases their leather card clip which were for sold for $90 and $120 alot people are going around saying there are overprice , but now david blaine are selling card clip for $350 and you think it better ?? The magic con uncut sheet will guarantee to have 38 signature .. and some will have 39 of them .. have you never wish to have your stuff signed by magicians ?? let count it this way .. $50 for a regular uncut sheet cost which mean the $200 is for the signature .. 200/38 one signature only roughly cost $5 .. for the spar deck a signed deck increase it value by $25 !!
-

I would not pay anywhere close to $5 a signature for these people.
Everyone, if you want to get cards signed by famous magicians, contact them on their website or facebook and they will give you an adress to ship it to to be signed. FOR FREE, except you include return postage. Costs a little bit less than $5/ signature
-
A signed deck doesn't usually sell for a high premium - but most signed decks are signed by the designer.
A new uncut really sells for more like $30 these days, at least for most decks.
The Blaine clips were mostly made of more exotic leathers/hides than what D&D were using. His cheapest, at $150, also came with a card packet holder, which would put them in line with what D&D charged for basic leather.
We're not talking about exotic leathers when we talk about the uncut sheet from MCv2. It's just a piece of pasteboard, printed in a colorful way and autographed by many magicians that are well-known in magic circles - but that the average stranger on the street would never have heard of, except David Blaine (and I STILL run in to people who don't know who he is!) and Jason Alexander (because he had a supporting role in a popular TV series). It's seriously overpriced.

Well Aaron, that's not really possible most of the time. Out of all the signatures I've collected, I have no where near the prestige of the signatures of that sheet. Sure I have the occasional lucky ones, such as Lee Asher, Zenneth Kok, and various, but I doubt I will ever have enough signatures from the "A-Ranked Magicians" on that sheet. When collecting signatures, I've learned that half of the time, the magicians do not respond. I've only been able to collect signatures by actually talking to the magicians rarely. From Lee Asher, I didn't talk to him, I just received his signature from a promotion he was offering. Also, if you are able to have direct contact with the magician, sometimes, they still won't allow you to send cards to sign because they are touring, such as Shin Lim. Even though I am serious about collecting signed cards, I only have about 3 signatures in my collection. Another factor is that sometimes, you can't find their contact information. Some magicians do not have websites or even a fanpage. Take Piff, the Magic Dragon, for example. Am I supposed to send a card with a return envelope to a cave, hoping to find him, or maybe the jungle, with the monkeys, because, you know, he loves bananas. If magicians do have a contact link, sometimes they are too busy to fulfill your request. After all my ranting, the main lesson here Aaron is that obtaining signed cards from any magic personnel is a lot harder than your think. It's not just get their address and send them a card with a return envelope, it's much more complex.

It is actually quite easy, sure alot dont respond, but alot do, and more replied to me when I collected them than didn't. I have 26 signed cards, and alot more on their way back to me. Sure someone like Piff is not easy to get one from at all, but is it worth $250?

250$???????????????????????... even with all the signatures, that's crazy! 100 would have been more reasonable!
This is even worse than the DB card clips. I really don't understand how they can do that to collectors.
I would not pay anywhere close to $5 a signature for these people.
Everyone, if you want to get cards signed by famous magicians, contact them on their website or facebook and they will give you an adress to ship it to to be signed. FOR FREE, except you include return postage. Costs a little bit less than $5/ signature
it does not cost a little bit less than $5 that impossible .. people who do not live in the usa etc the sending and returning wont cost only $5 .. and this is all sign at a uncut .. are you going to pay a uncut shipping cost ?? since there are 100% 38 signature does that mean you are going to send to all the magician 38 times and return which is a total of 76 .. and not all magician will sign on them .. the only person i know give autographed card for free are dan and dave and they also never collect shipping price from you ..
It's seriously overpriced.
uncut normally sell for $30 but for rare uncut they sell much higher ..

I dont live in the USA, And I wasn't talking about sending an Uncut sheet, I think that it was pretty clear I am sending individual cards. If I, From Canada send someone in the USA 1 Card to sign, it ends up costing me just under $2.
I have done this, like said above I have 26 differnet signeed cards from doing that, I have them from Devo, Brad Christian, Jason Brumbalow, And many other magicians.

That usually doesn't happen until the sheets are sold out. MSRP on the majority of the uncut sheets out there was $29.95 when purchased from the same people who made the deck. And that makes that $250 price tag all the more ridiculous.
