I traded a couple of decks with him recently. The whole deal was absolutely satisfying. Thank you! +1

We traded some of his decks for my Chromatic Deck. He sent his decks promptly and save. I am happy with my new Fulton's Clip Joint, Style deck and 2 Tally Ho Circle back decks.

Steampunk deck sounds great. What version do you have to offer? Not sure yet if that would enough for a one on one trade.

I have the copper version from theory11. How many would be necessary for a fair trade?

Hmm, maybe let's PM to find that out?

4
hi i have about 4-5 of those deck you listed for trade .. i am wondering if i trade with you will i receive the metal box or the plastic box ?

Whatever you want, baby! :D

5
v6 is red. If you are interested, I have Black Tiger, White Ghost, Shadow masters...
So you are ready for another deal. Have you received the decks from our first trade yet?

6
I have the Smoke and Mirrors v6, or an opened White Vision deck.

Excellent! Do you want to trade them? What color is your Smoke and Mirrors?

7
I have the Steampunk deck that's on your list. Would that be enough for a trade? What else (other than those on your list) would you like?

Steampunk deck sounds great. What version do you have to offer? Not sure yet if that would enough for a one on one trade.

8
Are you trading just the chromatic deck or would you be interested in trading also for the phoenix apocalypse and the ornate?

How do you mean? I just got them because I wanted them. I don't give them away. Sorry!

Hi Alex,

you know I am quite new in this scene and I didn't endlessly watch card reviews on youtube so far. But even as a layman I realized that most reviewed decks out there are equal in handling, card stock and finish. When I am watching a review I am mostly interested to learn about the design anyway. It's a great idea to focus more on special, rare, old and/or unknown decks than on new decks. I am in agreement with Utterfool here. If you are coming back with new fresh ideas it should be possible to attract new people and win back the interest of your old susbscribers.

Good Luck!
Lily

@Utterfool
I am not a flourisher or a magician, for the most part I don't care how a deck handles. If I am going to use it, it only needs to be able to shuffle and deal decently and not fall apart in an hour. If I am collecting it, it only needs to have a good design and not look cheap.

I am in the same boat with you. :D

11
You have some very interesting items in your list. Unfortunately I am only a beginner in collecting decks and can't offer you anything from your wishlist which is too bad.

12
Too bad you don't find anything interesting...

Well, the truth is I don't know all of the mentioned decks. I have to look them up first. But what about you? Are you interested in my deck somehow? Maybe we can work something out.

Welcome to the forums! I read you trades post before this thread, and sorry for being a bit rude. I doubted you were just a scam wanting to trade a deck that looks nice but never existed in the first place. Now I trust you, and I can't wait to see a USPCC version. Welcome!

Aw, you really thought that? But never mind, the Internet is a dangerous place and it's better to be careful. So no harm done.

Yeah, I am so excited to work on the new edition! I can't wait to hold it in my hands. I tell you - it's going to be AWESOME!!! Keep in touch and thanks for the welcome!

I am indeed, he he! Check my appearance: Pictures of Lily

The photo of you with your hair over your face and the shades on - PRICELESS!  I was laughing at my desk at work!

Yeah, isn't that a hilarious picture!?   I have to laugh myself everytime I look at it. I remember I had really fun when I did this. Did you notice the cigarette in my mouth? Well, I mean in that place where my mouth is supposed to be. ;)

15
Hey Lily, this indeed belongs in STISO's. Sorry for the confusion. I'm trying out new board descriptions. This one is clearly getting changed. :P (It refers to the forum being for these things as a whole, not this specific board).

Don't worry about the mistake, it's my fault.

No harm done.

16
If you dont mind me asking what is the value of your deck? I am interested but I need to know how much stuff to offer.

My deck sales for €19,50, check my website for more information. But as I stated in my post I can agree if the traded item is at least worth of my own invested money which is roughly two-thirds of that amount.

17
Hm, too bad! There is nothing in your trade list that I want. Only in your search list, LOL! Well, I don't have what you want anyway.

18
... And also you're not posting in the correct place if you are looking for a trade. No big deal, but Don will tell you about it.

In the subheading of this section it says: "Playing Cards, Magic, Cardistry, Collecting, Trading, that's what this forum is all about." Well, my bad if I misunderstood the message.

Hi gentle readers,

I am a designer and new on this board. Not only that - also new in the collector's guild. I own very few decks so far and that's why I am putting out this request.

What I can offer:

I am the creator of The Chromatic Deck - a new and so far unknown deck made in Germany, printed in a very small first edition.

I would send you one or more of these decks in return for another one or more of the following decks. My deck is quite expensive compared to many other custom decks which can be traced back to high printing costs. So it would be fair if the traded items are at least worth of my own invested amount.

What I am interested in:

This is my list of items that I would love to call my own. Some of them might be sold out, others not even released. I marked my top favourites.
  • Theory11 - Steampunk
  • Theory11 - Blue or White Monarchs
  • Theory11 - Archangels - traded
  • HOPC - Ornate, Scarlet and Sapphire - traded
  • Seasons Playing Cards - Seronda and Primavera
  • Circle City Cards - Brimstone
  • The Blue Crown - Vaudeville - traded
  • Bicycle - Phoenix Apocalypse (Card-Shark) - traded
  • Bicycle - Mana Oracle edt. (Eric Mana) - traded
  • Bicycle - Blue Tune (magiccastle)
  • Bicycle - Faith (Diavoli Productions)
  • Bicycle - Actuators (Lance T. Miller)
  • Bicycle - Galvanic (Sean Whelan)
  • Bicycle - Spectrum (Cosmo Solano)
I hope some you might consider a trade with one or the other of these decks provided that you have them of course. Thanks for stopping by!

EDIT: Thanks to everybody who was ready to close a trade with me so far. You are awseome, guys!

I'll extend my wish list with these items:
  • Verve deck - Élan Rouge Edition (HOPC)
  • Red Smoke & Mirror deck (Dan & Dave)
  • Bicycle Faith deck (Diavoli)
  • Bicycle Vision Deck, black or white

This is definitely the card stock USPCC should be using.

Exactly, Russell!

We always love having great designers on board and I must say... as a girl, I EFFIN love this deck! if you are making a USPCC version of this SIGN me up for for a couple! OMG! (there goes my savings yet again)...

...I'm really looking forward to your "USPCC" version of your Chromatic Deck!!!!

Aww, you are a darling, Lara! Thank you!

anyway, I hope you like it here with us. We are all fun loving people. Tons of topics here for ya! You can lurk around the development forums to see all the ruckus and raves about the USPCC cards and Rajas as well. so you can get a more clear vision on your target market. Collectors, magicians, cardists, and enthusiasts and of course the designers.
Use the SEARCH option if you are looking for a particular topic. It really comes in handy. :P If you can't find what you're looking for then feel free to start the discussion. :P

Oh my Goodness, I see myself spending too much time doing this - time that will be cut off from my active working time. Tricky situation.

Finally a girl designer! (you are a girl right?)

I am indeed, he he! Check my appearance: Pictures of Lily

Now that you are saying it I realize that I don't know any other female playing card designer! Wow, that's astonishing! Do you know someone?

Thanks again for this heartwarming welcome, Lara! I am glad to be here.

Randy, I highly anticipate this set. Cards, chips and boxes... You should give yourself a huge pat on the back for a job well done! I can never stop complimenting you for doing such a fantastic job on these.

I only can agree with that!

23
Hey Russell, good to meet you over here! We just became friends on Facebook. Let me tell you that I love your work. The Americana deck is very unique! Keep up the good work, mate!

Wow, Randy, these boxes are beautiful and a nice collectible. I am impressed. So you have four different box designs for two different decks, right?

« on: August 07, 2012, 10:16:03 AM »
I wasn't aware of this, but based on what he wrote, it appears that he's just the designer working for another person who actually gets the deck made.

That's right. I know k3 Studio from deviantART because I am a longtime deviant, too. I love his 3D art. He is a very professional designer.

Any thoughts on this deck, folks?

Yes. I own the Transducer Fire deck. I simply love it. But this is been said from the designer's point of view, not a collector's or a magician's. But since it is Bicycle quality I guess it's very good.
