His ABC box set went for $100 + shipping. Wonder if either of these will ever show up on his website?

There are bricks of the White Lion Tour deck up on ebay now too.

Playing Card Plethora / Re: Most Displayable/Best Looking Tuck Case
« on: April 01, 2017, 03:48:08 PM »
Any of Lotrek's decks have very nice tucks and display very well, especially in Carat Case.  Although they are very expensive if you don't already have them. I like Luxx, especially Shadows, Alex Chin's seasons and magna carta decks, as well as UUSI's latest decks and most of Jackson's decks.

3
Many of my display decks came with no cellophane due to being signed or special decks. I have started pulling some of the cellophane on some of my decks, especially if I have several. They look 100% better that way in the Carat Cases, especially the black tucks.

Now I haven't done that with many of my super rare decks, due to the loss in value. I did do it to one of my Liturgy decks since it came in an extremely loose package (wouldn't even call it cellophane) that was sealed, but would not fit in the Carat Case properly. Worse case I would sell it with the Carat Case, and hopefully get most of the value.

Bottom line go for it.

PS. get the designer to sign it on the tuck then you have an excuse   :D

Well I like the tuck and card back, then it goes down hill from there. The Hearts and Diamonds number cards have huge indices that are way too big and in a very "unique" configuration. The Spades and Clubs are not too bad that size. Overall think I will save my money for Black Friday decks.

If you are still interested, I have a couple I could part with.  IM me an offer.

Thanks Don, I can see them now. I had previously logged in to download the latest Card Culture. It must have logged me out or got confused, because I no longer could see that page either even though it looked like I was logged in.

You are correct limited to a brick at $325 or 1/2 brick for $165. They also updated the deck count limit to 500 total.

I have not seen this email on how to purchase. It is also not on the 52+ webpage. Any updates on this? Love anything Stutzman :)

Also the Instagram indicates on 350 decks produced, so this will be super limited.

Yes!!! That will happen today. Stay tuned, and an email will go out to membership about purchasing new Stutzman club decks. Thanks for your patience!

He almost had me sold with the face cards, love them. Lots of detail and great contrast between the white & black skeleton and the roses and thorns. But then it goes down hill. Aces seem bland and not very interesting & misses the chance to mix it up and use 3 roses for the Ace of clubs. It took me several minute to figure out the differences between the two black aces. Number cards again pretty bland, and the pips look blurry. All I can say about the back is too little with too much. The some what interesting spiral is washed out with colors that are too monochromatic, and it just looks busy. Maybe if the roses where multicolored like the face cards and tuck, the roses would stand out and pop more making the back more interesting to look at.

Similar to the live version he has only 3 poses that he then changes minor things like hair and clothes. Need to mix up the poses and faces more between the different suites.

If he went back and put as much detail and effort into the rest of the cards as he did on the courts this would be a must have deck even if it was printed by NOIR ARTS. Wonder why he didn't go back to his original printer for the Live deck?

Will CARC be releasing any addition Zen Pure Private Reserve decks in the future, besides the 150 already sold out?

I like the back, especially the burgundy color. The Script style letters then make it interesting enough when contrasted with the plain field of red.  I am with Don on the courts, I have never been a fan of plain block colored courts. Looks like an after thought with little effort. They need some work. If your going with the minimalist look, maybe remove the border and the large suite. Go with something minimalistic but intricate that goes with the H script on the backs.

These cases really are amazing, especially for the price!!!! I ordered the 24 of mine thru the UC site. http://www.unitedcardists.com/ucoffers.php

I intended to use them for my signed decks without cellophane, but ended up using to display my favorite deck tucks as well. Although the decks without cellophane look the best.  I will probably end up ordering more. The little magnets are incredible, and really snap into place. The cases are a little big for a standard deck which move around a bit. As ecNate mentioned above, this is not a big deal when using them for display. They are just big enough to snugly fit a Tenebre with the pack jacket.  The slip cases like the 52Card Club Deck or Triplicate Deck uses are a couple millimeters too big, and the Run slip case isn't even close. Haven't yet tried a standard CARC pack jacket, since the point is to display the deck.

Is it just me or do the courts immediately make one thing of humpty dumpty images. Maybe it is the combination of egg shaped bodies and big heads with little hands.

Looks like a Chinese role playing card game (difference between 3 & 4 Kingdoms?). Interested to see more and the potential artwork associated with such a game.

Hooooooooraaaaaay!!!! I don't have to be quiet anymore! There's one of my new deck designs! So glad to see the photos. Yippeeeeeeee!  :D

Congrats, Lance!  Nice to hear from you!  Would you like to say anything or perhaps tell the story of how this came to be?

I'm with Don, welcome back Lance. Glad to see your back playing around with cards.  :D
I saw your name come up in the Clear the Deck last month & was hoping you would be getting active again with some new card designs.
Looking forward to seeing this deck and any other contributions in the pipeline, its been awhile since the Actuators.

I just received my Gold Decks as well. The gold foil on the tuck and cards turned out quite spectacular. I had to open a deck up as soon as I got them, since I could not bring myself to open one of the Silver Decks. I can not stop playing with them, the foil is well worth the cost. Took some pictures for those who have not received them yet.  <hope this doesn't double post, forgot to reduce the sizes on the first attempt>

I just received mine, they look great. Not a big fan of the orange numbered stamp, could have been holographic or at least silver, but I have to hand it to Jackson the back design really looks great. Can't wait to see the gold ones too.

Oh and the tuck cover material is very thick, it makes them huge (~50% thicker than standard deck).

Yes, I contacted Lee who sent me to Steve Bowling <srbbowling'at'gmail.com>

He indicated:
"I apologize for the delay.  I am checking with our fulfillment company - two other orders submitted at the same time have not yet been received."
          Steve

I sent another ping a couple days ago but have not heard back. Please send your concerns to Steve.

I went ahead and ordered these Gold Edition decks, even though I still haven't received my "official" (silver?) decks from 52+ Jokers that I'd ordered a month ago. Has anyone else had any issues receiving their club editions? I've really been looking forward to getting my hands on these....

Awwww, what happened to all the nice yellow detailing on the back?

I'm with Afrank8 what happened to the yellow Jackson? The card backs had much better depth and eye appeal with the yellow/blue combination.

Great news from Jackson

Special Surprise for all Limited Edition backers!

I wanted to save this little surprise until the very end of the campaign for all of you Limited Edition backers. Something I found with my previous Limited Edition decks is that hardly anyone would open the decks and enjoy the art I spent so much time creating. This is what led me to create the vellum covered wrapping that could be opened and closed again without having to break any seals. To go even further and add even more "bang for your buck" I will be including two "Display Decks" with each Limited Edition set. Display decks are simply an extra set of deck that have the EXACT same cards found in the Limited Edition versions but that come in basic, uncellophaned, white tuck cases that will have nothing but the Kings Wild Logo on the outside. The purpose of these Display decks is to give you a chance to enjoy the Limited Edition cards and artwork without having to open the Limited Edition version if you don't want to.

So to recap anyone who is pledging for a Limited Edition set of Independence cards will get two complimentary Display Decks to go with you LTD Set, one Continental and one Crown. If you are pledging for 2 LTD sets then you will receive a total 8 decks, 2 LTD sets and 2 sets of display decks. Thanks again for your support.

As we close in on the end of the project please post a link to the Kickstarter on your facebook, twitter and other social media sites. Here is the link to the KS page. Let's finish strong!

Ultimately what Jackson just created will be an extremely rare limited edition set of decks. Due to the fact that although the display decks will be of the same number as the limited decks they were made to be opened, used and consumed. Over the long run they will become even rarer than the original limited decks which will be protected and horded for their limitedness.

Jackson, I applaud both the thought and the result. Keep your innovative ideas and unique decks coming we greatly appreciate your efforts and the resulting products.

All I can do is repeat CBJ, Wow!!! Wow!!!

I was not a big fan of the original Bakerstreet back & Tuck art, but the addition of the embossing make these tucks abosolutely Awesome. I  really love the limited tuck's embossed gold metallics.

The Hounds Tuck looks good but embossing all the scroll work without any color highlights is a little over kill.  I think I would have like it better flat with Red Mettalic similar to the Whispering Imps. Maybe emboss just the BH & Hound seals.

Once again Jackson pulls out all the stops and takes the design over the top. Great Work!!

Ya, I haven't received my brick, uncut and dice, either. No update in forever.

At this point I would be almost willing to pay the shipping myself just to get the decks & uncuts.

+1 Dan Baer

Bought some great decks and he gave me a really good deal on them. Would not hesitate to buy/trade with him again.
