I really hope that Aether Cards continues to grow an awesome community like it already seems to have!
I love how i can get on this forum, talk about cards and everything related to cards, and talk about my other hobbies and happenings in the world.
As of now, this is very different all the other forums i've posted on and it is a refreshing experience!

I'm glad you like it. :D
I tried my best to encourage an environment free of "Wut, u no talk about magic only? go away plz" sort of comments. Yeah most of us are collectors/magicians/cardists but if that were the only dimension to our lives, we would be pretty boring people.

I am glad to see the posts on this forum slowly maturing and users starting to realize that it benefits the community much more if you spend the time to make the forum useful for everyone. The Discourse has a very good opportunity to become one of the premier forums for cards collectors, cardistry in general and magicians. All the users, from what I have noticed so far, tend to be very interested in the forums and excited to continue to use them in the future. my hope is that people do not lose interest after Alex removes the benefits for post counts and the forum continues on the path to becoming successful

"Wut, u no talk about magic only? go away plz" I honestly LOL at this.
I also hope, very much so, that the forum continues to grow and mature after the post number benefits are no longer valid. Maybe a few people will stray away, maybe some will post less, but maybe the post quality will go up.
-
And keep in mind I haven't marketed the forum outside of a few Facebook posts. Few people actually know this even exists.
I'm sure after its design is completed we will see more people sign up.
Post incentives will always be around in the form of Fan of the Week, but that is all. Posting should be purely about communication. I want this forum to provide a niche for people that don't have loads of others in their personal lives to talk to about card-related stuff, but at the same time I enjoy the fact that members here can develop a more personal relationship with each other beyond:
"Hi dey make new cards here u go links"
"Hi tyvm 4 posting new cards here u go hi fyve"
It's the option to go beyond faceless posts that I think can make TD succeed.

I can't keep up with all the posts, it seems like if i were to refresh every 5 seconds there would be a new post, it scares me.
-
I absolutely love this discourse. it allows me to stay in touch with magicians and collectors from all over the world in one convenient little place.
-
Alex, i really like the subtle little changes that have been made today!
-
its really nice to talk to other magician and people who support what I like to do.

Haha, yes. But the more active forum means the more we want to participate.
And that's fun
-
yea it takes forever for me to answer all the topics i keep up with everyone posting to them all. but I like to hear what you guys say.
-
Yeah, it's great to have a starting point where people are like-minded but it seems like a lot of us are actually very different people. I'm looking forward to the discussions of all kinds that will undoubtedly come from it.

Haha tell me about it! Try moderating this thing. Every time I come back there's like a billion new posts to go read and respond to. But it's worth it cause it's really shaping up to be awesome :)

I really enjoy it too :)
