The French Playing Card Museum abounds in historical treasures concerning the playing card. I made my first visit a few months ago and I discovered magnificent decks and very interesting texts, tracing the history of playing cards.
Here are some photos, in memory of this fabulous visit.

And you, did you visit this museum or another museum of playing cards ? Your photos are welcome if you have it..

Those are some great images.  I'll be getting my first crack at seeing anything along the lines of a card museum (besides Tom's basement!) next month at Columbia University in New York.  If it's permitted, I'll get some photos.

I believe pictures will be permitted.

The museum in Issy not only has a great collection - they are beautifully displayed. It has to be seen to be truly appreciated. We were fortunate five or six years ago to be at a special presentation there in conjunction with the annual convention of the International Playing Card Society convention in Paris. It was a gala evening and it was tough being dragged away from the cards at its conclusion.

Thanks to Cryptocard for reminding us all of the great site.

The Museum also has a variety of art and really nice paintings. For example, I find that the painting of Eléna and Michel Gran is really magnificent.

About The United States Playing Card Museum, would you have some additional photos of the decks of their archives? Both which are here were published on the official Bicycle Facebook page.

Today, is this still possible to find and buy posters as those who are on this link :

If you're referring to the one that USPC created at the company plant in Cincinnati, the museum was shuttered for good a handful of years ago and in 2009, the entire operation was moved to a suburb of Cincinnati called Erlanger, Kentucky.  Some of the 52+J members who got a chance to visit might have photos, but many of us newer collectors only learned about it after it was gone.

Thank you for information Don. About the USPCC posters, do you know if it's still possible to find and buy them?

Well, you could scour the auction websites, but I'm pretty sure they're out of print.  Another option would be to post an "In Search Of" topic here stating you're looking for them - but you need to meet a few prerequisites first.  Check out the rules on the STISO board.
