Yes I am bored.

For some reason time in China runs really slowly and I get to finish everything I have to do really early and I still have tons of time to spare. So I try to do other things. Like read books, practice flourishing, doodle on some designs, talk to friends or whatever. Thing is I'm such a pro at multi tasking that I tend to finish those other things quickly as well.

So right now I'm left with nothing to do. :'(

I know I can Aether here, or something. But I don't reply on topics I don't relate to much or reply to topics I'm not really interested in. I want to do something else online or not. (note: its winter here and I have not adjusted to the cold yet, so I always get sick when I'm out)

I don't like to place facebook games

I don't like to watch TV/MOVIES/DVDS (at the moment)

I don't want to play computer games

I don't want to go at any kind of 9gag site.

I don't want to browse at shopping sites (at the moment)

So can anyone suggest anything interesting I can do on the web without having to use the VPN?

**take note of the list of blocked sites in China**

Or any interesting Apps for the iPad.

I feel so picky BLAH! hahahahaha!

Yeap! I have. I'm actually pretty good at Temple run! hahahaha! I have another app called Death Runner and I think its harder than temple run ^_^.

ps. told you I feel so picky.... I think its my horomones. BLAH sucks to be a girl.

Google's fine to use. They redirect the users to google.hk when the headquarter in Beijing closed down several years ago.

9gag is where content (mostly memes) is stolen from other sites and claimed as its own.

You should be able to get the epic novel "Journey to the West", seeing as how it's considered a famous Chinese folk tale. It was the basis for two very well known Japanese anime: "Saiyuki" and all the "Dragonball" shows/movies. The characters also pop up in other places, like "Read or Die, the TV Series". It's pretty long, would likely take you more than the time you have left in China to finish.

Actually currently it is not that bad IMO. Taiwan and China have been in state of hostility for more than 60 years (believe it or not, until the '70s the main purpose of Taiwan armed forces was to retake China), but China has changed in these 20 years. Much better than before.

It's definitely much better. But it's still there. The Communist Party is still there, and so is some of their enforcements. Though it may seem otherwise, you probably still don't want to talk about it out in the public.

@Jack and the thief, it's only my opinion, sxjy0109 knows China better than me. There are still many restrictions especially when things are involved in politics and thoughts. At lease people can not go to Tian-an-men to say anything that the government doesn't like to hear
