In my opinion, Blue Artifice V2 looks nice but not as nice as the V1. V2 will be better for magic tricks because it will have a nice white border. I like that very much because I am a magician. What do you guys think?

Although I have never really been of fan of the Artifice design, I like the v1 a TON better.

I agree, the v1's look awesome ( especially in red ) :P but I understand the need for them to have a border, I mean a majority of Ellusionists customers are magicians, so it makes sense for them to market and tweak their cards towards them. The v2's are not horrible, just not as good as the original.

I think it just looks odd like the border isn't meant to be their but i love the way they handle so ill be buying some.

i also think the border looks a bit odd. i wish they would have had the art "bleed" out into the border more. Really though, for me, it's the faces of the cards that are the most gorgeous part of the deck. I will probably pick up a few of the v2's so i dont have to touch my red or blue artifice cards anymore

Me too. I wasn't able to access a computerat the release of the RA and my loving mom stayed on the computer for hours to pick me up a brick. It'd suck if they made a v2 version that anyone could get.

My point about red artifice v2 is that I can]t imagine how ugly it would be with white boarder, not that it`s hard to get.

I prefer the originals but I'll pick up a couple in time. The borders take away from the elegance for me but that's just my opinion.

sorry, i meant artifice i was just being lazy. I don't see who red artifice would like bad as a border. they would probably look odd just like the blues do, but no different.

I think it might be better if the do the black boarder on the face of the card.

I think the borders kinda "destroy" the look of the cards, they look so mystical and everything (the box, the faces, the Ace of spades) looked so perfect together and the white border doesn't look so good on the box

I think the emerald artifice will look nice with the border. But I like them all best without the border.

I am magician, but I love v1.
I don't really use those outstanding looking deck for magic.
I draw out too much suspicious.

Honestly I prefer the borderless V1 version of the deck. It looked more complete and elegant in my opinion.

i think its nice but not as nice as v1 also if you listen to their last podcast they said they are making an emerald green artifice which i think would be amazingly nice

I understand why they did it but I think they ruined an awesome deck by doing so.

I think the option of having both versions is nice. I don't believe they should call it a "v2."
I think these days the words "v2" or "fifth edition" are thrown around carelessly.
I believe a bordered version was a must for their core magician demographic. They listened to the largest complaint and within a few months fixed the problem that many people had. Still, the card industry needs a serious overhaul of semantics.
I'd call it Artifice v1.1.

Having a border on playing cards allows magicians to use reversed cards in the deck and they are not easily spotted. If you use a deck where there are no borders, then the reversed card is easily distinguishable compared to the rest of the cards in the deck. Given that most of Ellusionists customer base is magicians, it makes sense for them to sell a deck that provides the option for many more card magic effects by having a border on the cards.

haha ok i understand already so you have a deck and a reversed card then you go through the deck slowly showing only the borders then the person would think it is a normal deck of card without knowing the reversed card because of the borders hiding it ..lol am i right?

There are many, many, many trick that involve reversed cards. If you are seriously interested I suggest you pick up a book on card tricks. Perhaps the Card College Series.

I have actually confirmed I will be getting the sneak peek. I am not sure if I am comfortable posting it though. I feel like if E wanted it to be blasted they would do it themselves. But,!!!!, that is just me. I know of someone else that is too about to get the peek and he happens to run a sneak peek fb page. So worry not, the peek will be blasted, just not by me.

dangit. I bought two Artificev2's and the second i got the package i threw away everything that wasn't the cards. does everyone get the sneak peak if they buy or is it just a select few? cause ima feel stupid if everyone gets it and i just tossed it lol

Everyone gets it but I think thats starting yesterday so you probably didn't get it. Im not sure though
