Playing Card Plethora / Love Art Playing Cards designed by Si Scott

I came across these on Facebook via Kete Moon's page.

Art is done by Si Scott (who designed th S&M decks)

The deck is produced by uspcc. They will become available to international customers soon. Keep an eye out on their website or register for more info - www.bocopoart.com

These will be released in china, 288 sets available. Not too sure how many in total have been produced, but I'm assuming no less than the uspcc minimum.

I don't know a great deal about these, so I've invited the guys over at BOCOPOART to give us a bit more info on these beautiful looking decks.

Here's a fun little deck for the little ones and magicians who perform for children. Originally there was a bicycle version, but doesn't seem like he's doing a branded bike version anymore. Will update when I get answers.
The following is taken from Facebook. I've invited the creator to come and tell us a bit more about the deck.

"I am excited to introduce The Kids Deck. A deck of cards specifically designed for kids and magicians. 3 decks in total, a red & blue backed deck containing 52 beautifully hand drawn cards done in a kids style, two fun jokers, and a double backed blue/red card to be used for awesome magic tricks. The third deck was spawned from my time as an elementary school teacher. We call this the ABC123 deck which includes alphabet cards (A-Z) and numbers (1-26). Kids will be able to practice multiplication with the numbers and memory games with the letters. And magicians will no longer need to use boring black block letters when magically spelling a persons name. The decks will be printed by the USPCC at the highest standards.

The Kids Deck will be on kickstarter later this month. At certain reward tiers, decks will include an instructional DVD titled "Card Tricks For Kids...No Rabbits Required", fun T-shirts, and full card sheets to hang on the wall."

Magical Cardistry Bonanza / Killer Magic on BBC3

Did anyone happen to watch Killer Magic, it aired on the 1st of April on BBC3. If you missed it, you can catch it on iPlayer. There'll be 6 episodes aired and is filmed in front of a studio audience.

Guys outside the UK, if you can find a way to watch it online, I highly recommend it. It's an ongoing series that has 5 young magicians competing against each other. The following description is taken from the BBC website:-

"Five young magicians compete to avoid facing the perilous killer trick. After judging one another's performances, the lowest scorer will take on a trick that has previously killed or injured a magician. The magicians have to combine magic with food and the killer trick is the infamous Bullet Catch - responsible for the deaths of twelve magicians."

Playing Card Plethora / Question Deck by Zenneth Kok

This deck comes in two colours, black and brown. He originally asked for a print run of 2500 of each, but uspcc fell short. 2350 of each colour will be printed. They'll only be available in pairs. $21.50 including shipping.
These are being printed on Aristocrat stock. He asked for a linen finish, but I believe it no longer exists. Subscribe to coterie1902 as email will be going out regarding the release of these bad boys.

EDIT: Zenneth just confirmed that the black envelopes with question marks on, will be given away for free with every deck.
Makes for a good prediction envelope.

Just had a little conversation with Mr Zenneth Kok. He'll be releasing two decks by the end of the month. This deck being one of them.
I like the look of these. He's printing with USPCC. The design is done by Triplus, who are based in USA and China. This is the first deck that they'll be promoting. Will be printed on bee quality stock, finish yet to be decided.

You know when Randy designs a deck, it's going to be good. Along with the collaboration with our (well, at least my) favourite UK playing cards retailer, I'm looking forward to this :)

The world lost a great magician today. A few hours ago, Aldo's wife, Rachel Colombini, posted a status on Facebook confirming that Aldo Colombini has passed away.
My condolences to the family and may he rest in peace.

He had some of the greatest magic acts out there. He was a born entertainer, his routine was very comedic too, and I just loved that.

Playing Card Plethora / My One Year Anniversary Giveaway

Hey all.

January 29th marks one year of me being on the discourse.
It's become my second family as of late, I've met some amazin and cool people on here. I've learnt so much while being on here and now I want to give something back to the community as my way of saying thank you :)

The Contest

It's a pretty simple contest. I've randomly selected one card. All you have to do is guess what the card is :) 52 cards, 52 possibilities.
Only one guess per person.
I'll give you a clue to start you off, there's no joker.

"What if you change the card, how will we know?"
Fear not, I've randomly chosen a card using random.org, taken a screenshot and forwarded the results on to Mr Don Boyer. That way, there's no way of me cheating any of you (not that I ever intended too)

"What if more than one person guesses correctly?"
I will take away all the correctly guessed winners and randomly select one using random.org

"What if no one guesses correctly?"
If no one guesses correctly, I'll choose another card. I'll check it against the answers, and again, if there's more than one, my friend random.org will decide :)

"Will you be shipping anywhere?"
Correct!! No matter where you are in the world, I'll be sending these out to you. Even if you're in Australia ;)

I like to think that the prize is a pretty sweet prize to give away.
