Part of my Collection updated infrequently but occasionally, when I remember. (I haven't in months.)

Look for Lee McKenzie's "Empire" and "Empire Bloodlines" decks.  Banded, front and back.

I can't imagine this project will go far if 20th Century Fox's lawyers catch wind of it.

I've look at the images on the KS over and over now. I can appreciate his artistic take on courts being avatar beast people things, but my eyes can't get over the fact that they're blue berry people. I mean, hey that's cool if you're a major fan of blue berries. I'm not too keen on blue berries myself though. The other thing I have trouble with is the red suits are blue while the black suits remain... Doesn't sit well with me. I feel like there are other avenues to take in that department that would reflect his inspiration a bit better. I like the back colors, but I don't feel like the backs are polished enough to be a final work. I understand the idea and the choice made, sure. I just feel like it's not all it could have been, again given his inspiration is one of spectacle and wonder.

I guess I feel like he went too far with somethings, courts. Not far enough with other things, pips and card backs. I tip my hat at the attempt. These aren't for me though.

It just occurred to me - I wonder if the people who made the Pandora Vine Backs will take issue with the choice of deck name?

I actually backed Lee's Empire deck which has the same, partly to support another Aussie and also because they are really, really pretty.

But the band always irritates me because I feel like a white border then is completely wasted... :-\

And even though I am a keen amateur magician in learning.  I need the forgiveness of a white border lol.
