Legacy, I hope YOU liked them without my recommendation. Don't ever take my word before checking in advance. ha ha I'm just some old hack that likes the sound of his own voice.
Your'e a lucky man IMO - I only saw those cards the week I made my review, I don't even own them myself (sad face)
I've been wanting to purchase the blue and red w/ gold Cupid Backs for awhile. I did the research but before this, reviews were not impressive. Many reviewers get down on standard looking cards. As an entire package I found them to be quite unique and collectible. I tend to buy decks that are known for functionality more then design. So... these were right up my alley.
Your reviews are quite good. Its nice getting an adults perspective rather then a teenagers. Your well spoken and your production is clean. Your just as knowledgeable as anyone of us here in the community. Give yourself some credit, your opinion matters.
yea but at least those decks came with a double backer and a blank - these new cards don't come with crap
Those are nice features, but you could make such gaffs without too much trouble. I learned from Kevin Reylek at a Blue Crown seminar. I'd rather have better-looking cards than gaffs. Not saying the gold ones were terrible, but that I prefer the appearances of the previous printings without the gold, such as the Vintage Series models.
I own the Vintage Design New Fan Backs. Once you own one design from that series, there's not much difference to want buy the others. So I never bothered with the more readily available Cupid Backs. These Blue and Red w/ Gold Cupid Backs, while not the greatest in terms of color contrast, do offer a more complete package then it's vintage design predecessor. I also doubt this design will ever be reprinted with gold again. That makes the gold version a bit more desirable to me.
