Playing Card Plethora / Re: rare decks?
« on: December 28, 2011, 02:04:57 PM »
so im wondering what are the requirements for a deck to be rare, and is it only rare if its sealed? i have decks that i see online for $20 $25 is that rare? im trying to see if i have decks that are rare or if all mine are common.
"rare" is a very ambiguous term. But I suppose if you're trying to quantify it, a good place to start would be with whether or not the deck is out of print or not. A deck cant really even begin to be considered rare until it has been put out of print. After that it's really just based on opinion.
If you're trying to find out a deck's value (very different meaning) then I'd suggest just searching it on ebay. That's usually a pretty accurate representation of how much a deck is worth.

My Shadow Masters fit snugly, you shouldn't have a problem fitting E decks in there. I've also just responded to your email.

If you have any other questions feel free to let me know!

Thanks,
-Nick

Added a couple more decks and sales. I'm thinkin that I'm gonna end these sales after new years, so if you were hesitant before, now's your chance to snag some of these decks at the sale prices!
Also be on the look out for some magic con decks that I'll be adding to the thread very soon.

Haha no worries, I was totally kidding about your bro having to wait, take your time. Also I do have a white lion that I may be willing to part with, feel free to PM or email me with the decks that you are interested in and I'd be happy to try and work out a price for the white lion as well. I do not have any JAQK decks though.

Thanks,
-Nick

Playing Card Plethora / Re: My cards bow for a period, how can I fix this?
« on: December 20, 2011, 01:36:57 PM »
Yeah I could definitely make that.  2 plate covers for electrical boxes ($1.39 ea.), 2 Bolts ($0.60 ea), and 2 Wing Nuts ($0.45 ea).  I already own a drill and a bottle of denatured alcohol to smooth the finish on the metal.  I think I'll put one together, see what it does to the cards.
Hmmm i'll take one please ;)

The Conversation Parlor / Tonights 3 releases from D&D
« on: December 16, 2011, 11:54:58 PM »
Anyone else read their newsletter from D&D yet?
Apparently they released their final copies of Twothousandandten, S&M v6's (in signed bricks for 129 each...) and their Variety box v5, which are no where near as good as their v4's or v1's. The only good deck there seems to be the IAOCP. Dont know much about the "A.Bandit" deck though

All and all, seems like it's fitting that they kept these releases under the radar, really nothing special. Just thought i'd bring em to everyones attention

Haha, again, the bottom part is all you need to be entered in the raffle, and the top part is all you need for for the $5 coupon. Which is why I said:
Hence my little Tips  ;)
"- When sending ticket, be sure to detatch the bottom portion so you're still entered in their raffles!"

Playing Card Plethora / Re: who got the Tungstene deck from dan and dave
« on: December 15, 2011, 08:36:11 AM »
I have 9 that I got from my variety boxes. They dont seem like anything special other than the face cards and the pips which I honestly think are kinda cool. Handling wise it's just another deck, not bad but not great. The value definitely seems to lie in the design (and possibly the supply?)

The Conversation Parlor / D&D holiday raffle ticket Trading Post
« on: December 14, 2011, 07:24:50 PM »
I posted this on UC, but thought this forum would benefit from it as well, so here ya go:
As some of you may know, D&D have offered a $5 coupon to those who have collected all 5 types of their holiday raffle tickets. So I figured, for us to get the most out of their generosity, this would be a cool idea for people like me who have multiple identicle tickets and would be willing to trade those extras for ones they need to complete the 5 and get their $5 coupon.

I'll start by listing the types of tickets to ease communication between traders (I only have 4 types, so if someone who has it, would kindly post the last type for me to add in, it would be much appreciated)
- Seasons Greetings
- Merry Christmas
- White Christmas
- Hunting Season
- ?

Directions:
1) Simply post here which ticket(s) you have (only the ones you have extras of, of course) and which ticket(s) you are looking for.
2) Post your location. This only works on the principle that it costs less than $1 to ship a letter within your own country. Shipping internationally would cost more, so it would be less efficient for both traders.
3) When you see someone with the ticket(s) that you need, and who needs the ticket(s) that you have, send them a PM and arrange a trade.

Tips:
- When sending ticket, be sure to detatch the bottom portion so you're still entered in their raffles!
- D&D said that there is a limit of one $5 coupon per customer, so you really only need to do this trade once. but if you think you can get away with it more than once, I wont stop ya.
- This offer ends march 30th, so the clock is ticking!

Lastly, I'll start us off, this is basically how you should format your posts:

I have several Hunting Seasons (25), White christmas (15), Merry Christmas (2), and Seasons greetings (7) and am looking for the 5th ticket. I live in the US.

If anyone has any quesions or suggestions, please do let us know!
Happy trading!

I also want to update everyone that I added a couple more price cuts and a couple Tungstene Decks

Thank you for your interest Lushbob! I will be updating the thread regularly with price and quantity changes, (I've just updated it again this afternoon with several temporary price drops and a couple quantity changes) so hopefully there wont be much confusion as to how many decks I have remaining.

As for the shipping, it will be dependent on how many decks you order and the total cost of your order. The price quote that Kanped posted may vary depending on those two factors. If you have a specific order in mind, feel free to email or PM me and I'd be happy to calculate your shipping costs and any eligible discounts that I have available for your order.

Thanks!
-Nick
