This summer with my family I am going to the Las Vegas Wynn Hotel and Casino. I am interested in getting Wynn decks as I don't own any. I have heard there are 7 different types, and even more if we were to count the Jumbo Index and Standard Index as two different decks.
This is the hotel I will be going to:
http://www.wynnlasvegas.com/#
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wynn_Las_Vegas

I was wondering which decks I would be able to pick up there, if any.
Also, which casino decks would I be able to pick up in Las Vegas?

Thx,
Nathan

This topic's been around a while, bro.  Look harder next time - all I keyed in was "brown wynns" to get this, probably the most definitive topic on the subject of Wynns on this board.

As far as getting them - it's Vegas.  They practically pave the streets with canceled decks!  Uncanceled ones are only a little harder to find.

You could check out the Gambler's General Store for a hoot - USPC bought them up a few years back and they have a pretty big collection of STUFF, though I heard the bargains there are harder to find.

Otherwise, get a hold of someone who lives there, like Aethercards' very own Alex, your host and master of ceremonies around here...

Thx for the link. Actually I was well aware of all those different types of Wynn. I have been two Las Vegas twice before but have never found any hotels selling their decks, so I was wondering if I could host these in the Wynn hotel itself.
Thx,
Nathan

Wait - you've been to Vegas, know all about the Wynn decks, and you're ASKING US WHERE TO GET THEM?

Every Vegas casino-hotel sells decks of some kind with their casino name on it; it's like offering keychains and t-shirts.  The much-vaunted Jerry's Nugget decks were sold in the gift shop for fifty cents a pack, never once used at the tables.  There are "souvenir" decks, which are different from the table decks used in the casino, and there are canceled decks, actual casino-issued and casino-used cards that were on the tables for some time before getting pulled from play, shipped to a penitentiary, sorted back into packs by inmate laborers and resealed for you to play with (to which I say, "Ewwwwww...").

Uncanceled decks, in most cases, are either from casinos that went belly-up or are in patterns and colors that are no longer in use at the casino.  I can't rightly say where those would be in Vegas, except perhaps one of the countless places that sell casino and other playing cards!!!

What exactly are you looking for that you can't find by normal channels here?  Because frankly you aren't being terribly clear here.  It sounds like you're standing a few miles underneath the town of Newcastle and are asking us, "Where's the coal?"

Thanks for those details, they are very helpful. Basically I was wondering if there are any hotels/casinos that sell/give cheap cards, especially Wynns. I have already been to Las Vegas but haven't seen a single hotel selling decks (maybe because I didn't stay in a Hotel/casino). Since I will be staying at the Wynn hotel I was wondering if they gave away or sold any wynn decks (I don't want to buy any off of ebay). Thx.

I'll try to help where I can. I have scoured Vegas for decks. The best place to find vintage, uncancelled playing cards are at antique malls nowadays. It's a very rare thing to see, but sometimes you can get something nice. Because of how antique malls are organized, you'll have to spend 1-2 hours investigating every nook and cranny of the booths to find a single deck or less.

Now there are the obvious places to check: Hotel gift shops. Here you will find the newest cancelled decks, and this is the best place to try out the finishes and stocks on Gemaco, Paulson, Cartamundi, etc. Do NOT buy any of the decks that look like they're not cancelled. They're cheap garbage and almost on par with the Cardinal's decks in terms of how terrible they are.

Next stop is Gambler's General and Spinetti's gaming supply. The former is owned by USPCC and has a huge selection of decks. If you're looking to find $100 decks for $5, you're out of luck. If you want to find $10 decks for $3, you're very much IN luck.

Spinetti's isn't owned by USPCC and they have a decent selection as well. Their stock shifts around more often and it's a complete guess for me as to what they have now since I last visited them almost a year ago.

Now let's address your desire to acquire Wynn decks.

You will not find uncancelled Wynn decks anywhere, ever, at all. At least not on a vacation visit.

However, there are cancelled brown, red and violet Wynns ALL OVER Vegas. Yes, they are of the "logo" variety that sell for $15-45 per deck sealed and uncancelled. They can be tricky to find though. I have spotted them in stock by the brick at various playing card booths at malls. You really have to look around to find the decks in the booths, but finding the booth can be tricky as well! There are three booths worth noting that I have always seen the logo Wynn's at: Miracle Mile Shops, The Fashion Show Mall, and the Outlet Mall. There are more than one "card" booths at each of these locations, and I can't help you any further beyond telling you to scour every last inch of the places.

Thx a lot Alex. I will definitely look back at your post when I'll be in Las Vegas.
