Krystle Welcome to the boards, and I got to say that post was very appealing with the purple I liked that a lot. You also gave a description of yourself that's longer than 2-3 sentences. Well nice to meet you and enjoy the boards.

Why do I have to be 14!??!!?!  :-[
I guess I'll wait a few months...

I use 15 as the cutoff so that school isn't as big of an issue. Freshman year of high school tends to be more hectic than following years, and it's just a simple cutoff.

But hey, in a few months, I'd love to go over your application. :)
Darn i'm 12, so i'd have two wait 2 1/2 years haha. I'm on the computer any time im out of school though

I didn't even realize that I reached that  :P
Thanks for letting me know! And thanks for the thread  :)
Np, and it's funny because I haven't been on the forums for awhile and last few days made me check in cause of the V2 thing and I always check the top poster ( You most of the time ) and got on today and noticed lol.

I would just like to congratulate Evan ( MagicAddictz ) for achieving the title Aficionado for his forum posts. His posts are great and he's not just some spammer the just keeps posting over and over just to get his count up. He just posts to have fun probably.  :)  Nice job Evan !

Yeah, great job on this deck!

What MagicAddictz and KPopFever said though, I hope this is two decks not just one :)
The deck looks great and is very well designed.

I'm gonna be honest here: I wouldn't even subscribe to a forum that looks like this. In fact, a basic pre-made skin would be more attractive. Too much contrast where it's not needed and not enough where it actually is makes it really painful to look at, and the huge awesomeface might be going too far, no matter what kind of community it is aimed at.
No offense intended really, but it'd be sad to have a good forum fail because of such basic things. Remember, a good choice of colors is always important, regardless of the target audience. You could consider going with a softer shade of blue, and never use black text on a dark color. High contrast should be reserved for text, unless the design really calls for it.
Wow I am always logged in so never noticed it I will have to take that off.

PhpBB is very skin friendly, there are a ton of pre-built free ones, I haven't used SMF in a long time, so I'm not familiar with the available options.

Are you looking for a forum to install on your website?  or are you looking for a website that will host a forum for you?
I was looking for one that I could embed on, but proboards is great so I'm going to stick with them. Check my forum out if you would like http://whattheshiz.proboards.com the design isn't final and I still need to make topics and categorys and what not. Also my website is whattheshiz.yolasite.com

No clue what yola or talkki are, but ProBoards is the best hosted forum solution for free, and SMF is my favorite free software (that's what the Discourse runs on).
Ok, thanks for the help.

The only thing I don't like about this is I don't have any skins to put on there. I mean the forums are great themselves.

EDIT: These are nice forums once you get to know them.

Does anyone know of a website that you can make a free forum and then embed that forum onto a yola site besides nabble and talkki.

Feedback + Support / Re: Update bug and request
« on: December 17, 2011, 10:37:42 PM »
Do you guys have any suggestions on how you'd like the notifications to work? i.e., where they should pop up, whether they should pop up at all, or how they should be formatted. How do you like being notified or do you prefer going through the topics yourself? Just trying out something new.

I'm gonna disable the feature altogether, but it'd be great to have some comments from our users before I do so we can improve on it.
I think that if you had a button next to your name and all that to have a button that drops down a menu of your notifications and when you click it again the menu goes right back up. And when you get a new notification it will have the number of new ones you have at the top right of the button. Hope this helps

Okay guys, the problem should be much less intrusive. If you do see the notifications spiral down your screen, they will go away automatically within a few seconds.

Bear with us while the solution is found.
Okay thanks Alex, and I have seen it go away within a few seconds so it's not as bothering.

I have also had this same problem, and it bothered me because it was in the way of things and they wouldn't go away. Like Kanped said is there a way to disable them?

Also, your reviews are very good but I think that before you do your next review, you should learn more about cards
Ok, and I usually play with the cards for about 5 minutes before I do the review but as you see in most of the spreads you can tell they still need to be broken in more.
not about how they feel. I mean, more about cards in general... how they're made, whats on them, stocks, finishes. And you should expand your vocal a bit  ;)
Ik not how they feel I was just putting that out there. I will do all of this stuff before my next review and I will try to use more words instead of the same phrase all the time. I have noticed this and my friend has also told me. I will also try to be more clear and louder.

This combination seems like it would go very well. Sometimes in life you have to take risks, Spend money to make money the only way.

That would be awesome  - I've always wanted to see reviews, but I could never find any - When is the Discourse v2 supposed to be releasing anyway - In the new year? How about Christmas?
I'm pretty sure that it will be released sometime in the new year, because it takes a lot of work to do.

This will be a very nice feature, I'm looking forward to it :)
i just had to add a comment here becuase i saw that the Development section was at 499 posts so this is #500!!

Nice! Unfortunately, this thread belongs in the Suggestions board.

A Deck Review section is something that is on its way.  :)
Haha ok I didn't see that's suggestion area sorry. And that is awesome. How soon do you think it will be up?
I'm guessing it will be coming out with Discourse V2
