What are your thoughts?

Do you prefer one over the other and why?

I'd have to rather Magic (Probably as I'm a magician :P)

But Cardistry makes you go "Wow that guys is devoted and can do some nice things"

Where as Magic (Done Well) makes you go "Holy crap, that is simply amazing how is that even possible"

In short I'd rather watch someone do something that seems Impossible then someone do something that's hard to do :)
Mystery is the basic appeal of magic. Once the secrets are known, the magician becomes a mere manipulator, an actor in a suspense drama which has little impact because the audience knows the ending in advance.

Really but my passion is in cheating.  Too moral to ever actually do it (probably) but I love the methodology and skill.  Of the two, I'd say magic just because it's been with me for a lot longer.

It's more that I enjoy entertaining people and I think magic gives spectators more entertainment in the long run and they can go home and still think about how amazing and impossible the act was

I like magic as I grew up watching magic. I love fooling people with very simple techniques. I would like to be a flourisher, though it is hard I still try to flourish.

for me i prefer magic but if i did more card games i would love flourishing for fun during them.
Do you guys even read this? Like I could have the meaning of life here and I doubt you would know it.

i stick to flourishing mostly. i play with magic here and there; i know some easy card control effects.

for me personally though i find it very relaxing just to sit around after a long day with some music and practice cardistry.
have you heard the word???
