So I recently picked up The complete idiot's guide to street magic by Tom Ogden and The illustrated history of magic by Milbovrne and Mavrine Christopher with a foreword by david copperfield from my local library and I am finding out that I really enjoy reading the history behind magic not just teach me tricks.
Do you guys even read this? Like I could have the meaning of life here and I doubt you would know it.

Check out some of the books at D&D that cover the history of magic.  And if you can't afford them, see if your library either has them or can get them from another branch.
