Will you have any for sale at the convention itself?  At what price?

I plan on having perhaps a gross of them available at the convention, at the pre-order price (or maybe a bit less).  :)

Thanks for the topic, I've been slammed lately and haven't done much "forum-ing" these days (there are just soooo many darn places to communicate anymore, it's like a full time job).

At any rate, these are going to be the intro price until tomorrow at noon. The store has been a bit finicky at times because of people putting huge numbers of decks in their carts to see how many are left, which messes it up for everyone else. :(  As of right now, there are a handful of Black foiled decks and about 300 Red still left.

I think these are going to look great in hand and I'm looking forward to getting all of these out to people asap!

Here's another concept I've had on the back burner for a long time now. I've been noodling the details and am liking this more as I re-review the design. Might print this one sometime soon....

This is one of the more carefully designed I've seen recently, which is refreshing. I am picky so I don't buy bricks of anything these days, but I liked this enough to grab one. Nice work.

Folks, we aren't going to let this stay unfunded, are we? For reals people, all that crap out there and you can't pony up for a deck or two from a truly talented guy? I pledged, you better do the same.

The first part of the shipment arrived today from EPCC (the last two gross got held up for a day) so I'll start shipping all the preorders soon. I expect I'll have a few for the store at some point, so keep a close eye on things if you missed it. They turned out quite nice!  ;)

Ha, yes I guess you are right. I'll change that old signature right away. Thanks for the amazing support of this one, it went fast just like daddy Zenith. 😊

This court is based off a very old Bicycle one that was only used for one year.  I really liked the personalities and different details and wanted to use them, quirks and all!

Cardfool, yes that that is the plan. I hope to have them in stock in December (we are air-freighting these instead of the lengthy sea voyage), and the pre-order should be in a week or so.

I've run into this before as well, where you do something as a favor or nice gesture and then see it appear on eBay for a profit. I've also seen people create "collectibles" out of combinations I never made, or put things in some random third-party box and call it a "special".

These kind of things are disappointing but also inevitable, so like Jackson I just mentally note these things as best I can and adjust my future generosity accordingly.

Playing Card Plethora / Re: 52+J 2015 Convention - THE CLUB DECK
« on: October 11, 2015, 10:43:53 PM »
It really is a no brainer in my opinion to just join the club. There are many benefits beyond the deck, and getting the deck at a much better price is just icing on the cake.

In no way am I getting to be smug or anything, but remember that the 1000 deck run of Zenith sold or in less than 2 days, so the club really is the best way to make sure you get this special deck (and it really did turn out very pretty...)

As a designer, I think they (and many others...yes Madison I'm looking at you) need to slow the heck down. The designs are becoming more sloppy in general and they are absolutely flooding the market they are trying to profit from.

Collectors are already becoming tired and starting to fall away, I've seen it clearly in the last year amongst even my most loyal fans, and this continual torrent of projects is not going to help grow or improve the market, it's going to destroy it. Take a moment to breathe and spend some quality time designing something really impressive folks, don't scare off the collectors that you depend on.

Loverly. I'll grab a few for sure, they are fun decks to play with.

Awesome, I'm just a short drive from Orlando! Well I'll definitely be attending next year. :)

The opposed-corner indices should also be vertical rather than horizontal - with the card rotated 90 degrees.  In other words, retain the orientation Paul used but place the pip under the value rather than next to it.  It permits making a tighter squeeze when viewing the indices in that corner.

Doing what you mentioned forces the pip to take up more space if spreading the cards from a lefty direction, you'd have to move the cards father apart to see both parts if the pip. I tried your suggestion but at first glance I felt that ended up looking more "wrong" because it will visually intrude into space that should remain as white space. It looks quite misaligned when viewed as an entire card, so the 90 degree side-by-side was the most visually appealing and usable after lots of experimentation. It's also more interesting, as standard 4 corner pips have been done many a time. :)

I got some official USPCC proofs today and the cards are going to be really great. The colors are majorly intense and the detail came out great. Don't kick yourself later for skipping these.  ;)

I know a lot more people want things like the MegaTuck or Special Edition. Unfortunately, hand making things is a truly time consuming thing. It's really easy to say "sure, I'll make 100 megatucks" but then you hit the reality of spending hours, and hours, and hours, and hours making them and ensuring they are as perfect as you can. I could just mass produce them, but that would defeat the purpose of offering something unique that no one else could replicate.

So, as with anything, it's a big balancing act. I totally understand if you missed out and are bummed. Trust me, I'm not a heart-breaker by nature, but with Encarded, a real job, 2 kids and a wife I only have so many hours in the day. Lol. :D

I've got a good design going on the MegaTuck, with a nice feel and a few clever little details that work together with other things. It will be a very special item, handmade, so it will necessarily be a limited thing. I'll post more images and such as things go on, don't worry. :)

Playing with ideas for one of the limited rewards of the Tendril project. I love making hand-crafted boxes and am working on the details of my "MegaTuck"
