Post by: John B. on October 26, 2011, 10:09:17 PM
so i recently met a guy who was a poker dealer (held games himself) and used plastic cards. he also did magic and showed me a few tricks that if you use a worn deck cant be seen(some acting required). he mentioned (and showed one) tricks that are easier to do with plastic cards what do you think?

You can always do magic with any cards, just only sometime you might fail even by attemping a double lift.
But for flourish, the cards quality effects more.

I think you should study your Erdnase et al. very carefully before playing poker there, that's for sure.

I think I stated in a different thread that I was anti-plastic cards. They are great for springs and such but other than that and poker, I just can't use them. I saw a video in which someone proclaimed the Bicycle Prestige to be their top deck. Really? A plastic deck as your number one? But, on the flip side of my hatred for plastics, anyone who can effectively use plastics cards in a magic routine has my respect on that!

well they are for certain tricks where slicker carfds are better. he did a color change and slid the one behind the other ( i think) and it was vivid and he did not flash, thought if ther are others that do this then its cool.
