Title: Mana Deck - Third Time's the Charm
Post by: Don Boyer on April 11, 2012, 05:31:34 AM
In my inbox this morning...

Hey everyone!!

Good news!! After much talk and convincing, we've been given limited stock of the Mana deck by Cutting Edge! Not only that! We have also been given access to their stock of uncut sheets as well! Only 100 of these sheets exist AND all uncut sheets are numbered and signed by yours truly. Now is your chance to own one!

The last time we opened our doors for 144 decks, it sold out within 5 minutes!! We will do our best to try to keep the doors open for a bit longer this time, but not for very long.

Click the link below and check out some of the videos and just click the 'Buy Now' button to proceed to our Order Form.

Thank you so much for all your support!! :)

Sincerely,

Erik

In simplest terms, NOT CHEAP.

$45 to buy an an uncut, and, to quote the site:

Quote
We ship out of Manila, Philippines. Please do not expect US shipping rates!
A shipping quote will be emailed to you once we receive your order.

Cheapest they offer is Registered Mail, 2-3 weeks delivery time.  Since 1-2 decks ship for $12-15 and 3-4 decks ship for $18-28, an uncut's gonna cost ya.

Total stab in the dark, I'd say $75-90 for a single uncut with shipping.

DON'T DAWDLE.  I'd be surprised if they weren't sold out by midday.

I knew it wouldn't be cheap since I already payed $70 to ship a brick over here. I wish I could get one, but the shipping is just to much for me.

Have you tried contacting them to inquire about shipping costs?  Also, if you have the cash, shipping two, three, four, etc. uncuts shouldn't cost that much extra...  Team up with someone!

Guys, I remember a certain Don who detested T11 who repeatedly printed decks which were supposed to be out of print and this don spent a lot of $$$ chasing those decks.......

Personally I don't agree to these sort of marketing as well!!!

It seems like they are stringing us along, WHICH I must say is working VERY WELL!!!

These decks sold out in a very short period of time, EVEN the second issue of 144 decks went in a matter 5 minutes!!!

And ladies and gentlemen, GET IT WHILE YOU CAN!!! They are releasing more decks!!!

Honestly, I got quite a few of these and I think the design is nice. BUT..............

I will stick to my guns and stop right here!

The Mana is pretty pricey, at least this time around it is a little more tolerable thanks to the likes of Deck. Hoping we won't see this the Seasons... Shipping at least

More news, people!  Just hit my in-box.

Hi everyone,

We want to thank everyone for your amazing support the past couple of days. The mad rush for uncuts and bricks was quite overwhelming. That was crazy!

However, for those of you who missed the announcement - this weekend will be your last chance to get your hands on the Mana Silver Oracle V1 deck and uncut sheet. We are closing the order form by Monday 12am midnight EST, but we honestly don't think our stock will even last that long.

Just visit our website www.manaplayingcards.com (http://www.manaplayingcards.com/) and click the 'Buy Now' button and fill out the order form. We hope to see you there!

Thanks again!! Looking forward!

Sincerely,
Erik

Question for those that own this deck....I live in Canada and I'm thinking of putting in an order for two Mana decks. The cost of the decks are $25.90 plus $15.00 shipping, for a total of $40.90. I'd like to hear if this deck is truely worth this price. I know, I know, people will say it's up to me if it is worth that price, but do they handle well?, is it quality stock? Thanks in advance.

Anyone still interested will have ANOTHER chance - just not for the same version.  From their website:

Quote
OUT OF STOCK!!
Thats it! We're done! We are officially out of stock and we have closed the order form forever!...Well, maybe not forever...
Maybe just until V2 is ready for the spotlight. ;)

We want to thank Cutting Edge for allowing us to extended our window to offer the Mana deck and the uncut sheets to our friends from around the world!!

And of course we wouldn't be here if it weren't for YOU - the magician, the collector, the cardist, the fan and even the art lover as well. You guys made this project a dream come true and we thank you deeply from the bottom of our hearts for your undying support and love for this beautiful deck of pasteboards.

Until next time...keep an ear and an eye open for V2...

So, all of you completists who HAVE to have EVERY version that comes out, you still have work ahead of you...  :))

Grief. Its a good thing that I told Kensei to pre order them from Cutting Edge, since he works in the building right across cutting edge. I was told that he missed Mana by mere seconds.

At least we know there is a huge probability of v2s :P
