One of my customers showed me an image of these the other day, I've never seen them before. My first reaction was to think they are fake. I have nothing to back it up either way though at this point.

It looks like it could be an Asian market only special Bee deck. I know the Bee deck is pretty popular over there and that write up on the ad card does lean a bit towards it a bit. If it's legit, I would like a deck. That tuck box looks like it might be a nice textured heavy duty card stock. Otherwise, I'm going to wait until Don swoops in with his encyclopaedic knowledge of playing cards.

Thanks Nurul for finding that info.

For a moment I thought it was Japanese yen and not the Chinese yuan. Now if it was yen, that'd be about 50 US cent per a deck. Now that would be amazing. Chinese yuan makes that roughly 7.50 USD.

That's USPC's Chinese website - it's not as fancy as their American site.  Bees are crazy popular in Asia.

They also have Emerald Nautic Backs and a few other decks not made for the US market.

Very curious to see what bullshit she has to say this time.. Probably something along the lines of "Limited to 200. $69.69 per deck, spend $6969 and get 1 free rug for your floor!", except in very broken English.

Just so you guys know; the retail price is actually roughly $7.50 USD ($80 for a brick). They are a 5,000 print run, NOT limited (meaning they may be printed again depending on demand) and are sold by the Chinese run USPCC directly through a Chinese website similar to Amazon called 'Tian Mao' (tmall.com). I assume this is where Aloys gets her 'limited' stock as tmall.com ships free anywhere in China (Shanghai obviously included).

You're paying a very high premium getting these from Aloys. There's an ebay seller that operates internationally that has these for $14.95 USD a pop. FREE SHIPPING ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD. I personally bought two decks from him and he was kind enough to cut me a deal with combined shipping ($24.95 USD for 2 decks all inclusive). I am in no way affiliated with any persons mentioned in this post. I'm simply using my fluency in Chinese Mandarin to help you guys with the information. Your money, your choice (:

I had hoped he was discussing a second dealer, since he was using the present tense in his sentence, written after he mentioned a dealer that just sold out.

Nope, it was the same dealer who had relisted the decks. He's bound to relist more of the same again. I've dealt with the seller before. Very negotiable.

FWIW, I just received an e-mail from Aloys stating that they only have 140 (out of an original quantity of 288) decks left in stock.

Last time USPC made a China-only release deck of their own was the Bicycle Star deck - and when they saw there was a demand for it here, it became available here, not just through dealers but through their own retail site, Wingra Direct (shopbicyclecards.com).  I'd bet a deck this cool won't stay China-only for long.

So what's the big deal about making a PayPal account?  It's now available in Mexico - think of it as a necessary evil, like trying to buy something online without having a credit or debit card.  They're certainly not accepting checks or even money orders on most websites these days...  Seriously, it's a useful thing to have - it's a GOOD thing to not have to reveal your credit card information to every Tom, Dick and Website you want to buy something from.  Make the account before making the purchase and the purchase should go very smoothly.
