Title: The Definitive Ranking For All Of David Blaine Playing Cards
Post by: 52whitelions on March 15, 2016, 01:09:17 PM

I know some this will boil a lot down to personal taste.  Im curious to what everyone here thinks.

Regardless of rarity (Microsoft Deck, UV Deck, etc)  What is your ranking of David Blaine's decks, considering
the stock, feel, design, tuck box..etc.

My ranking:

1) Gatorbacks
2) Split Spades 1st Edition
3) Split Spades Tally Ho's
4) Series A White Lions
5) Casino Bee's
6) Black Label White Lions
7) Black Lions
8) Series B White Lions

My personal list is mostly ranked by stock/feel, rather than design.

In the case of rarity, I'd def rank that Microsoft Deck #1 and UV Deck #2...

Is this all of the decks he has released?

Released or Unreleased...heck you can even mention the project he helped with Lawrence Sullivan for the Legends.

I may have left out a deck or two, but its been a long morning already, lol

You left out his one deck that wasn't made by USPC - the "Microsoft Intern" deck from 2014, printed by Expert PCC.  It ranks pretty high.

As far as definitive...  It's hard to say with any authority.  People have different preferences, different applications, etc.  Also, the stock for the Series A White Lions and the Series B is pretty much the same.  The Split Spades Tally Ho and Bee decks have an unfortunate tendency to get clumpy after some use - mine are terrible.  As much as I like the Gatorbacks, the stock is a bit on the thin side for my tastes.

I agree with your first spot pick. Gatorbacks are also my favorite Blaine decks, good choice.

Does there happen to be a list of all David Blaine Decks with all colors anywhere on the forums? I have been absent from collecting the past couple years and would like to see a complete list of every deck David Blaine has come out with including all the colors. Thanks and much appreciated!

Well, yes, there is.  You have to look for it and it's probably a little out of date.  But you can figure out the newest decks quickly enough.
