Feedback + Support / Skip to a page
« on: February 24, 2012, 02:27:31 PM »
I was wondering. In the v1.5, when I was on the first page of a thread and say I wanted to skip to page 7, I could just press on the little number seven at top or the bottom of the page. Now, on the v2, this button is only on the bottom of the page, making me have to scroll all the way down before being able to change pages. I liked this better the old way. Is it always going to be like this?

Is this normal?

Hey guys, I wanted to know if any one would be up for a trade: 12 sealed bicycle standards in a Costco brick box for 12 Massas Ltd. in a brick box. I would also be willing to add any magic tricks of your choice in the trades to even out this trade. I live in the US. Who would be interested?

Playing Card Plethora / Massa playing cards help
« on: February 12, 2012, 12:38:40 AM »
Hey everyone. I would like to buy some massa playing cards as I have heard some great stuff about them, but I have a couple of questions:
1) Are they worth their price in your opinion?
2) Do they handle well?
3) Do they last a long time?
4) How many do you think I should buy?
5) Where do you think is the cheapest place/deal to buy them?
6) What are your thoughts on this deck?

Thank you,
Any additional information would be helpful,
Nathan

Hey, I was wondering what happened to the Insider and Expose on T11 because I am starting to miss them although I didn't find there jokes particularly funny or there reviews totally unbiased. Any one know what happened to them?

Does any one know a cool leather card clip they recommend me? If not, what are your favorite card clips?

Hey. I have tons of Theory11 and Ellusionist magic tricks (I almost have all of them). I would be willing to trade some for any deck of cards except for Theory11 decks (because I have them all). I am open to any type of negotiation. Just tell me if you are interested below, so this thread can stay active, and send my a PM with any offers.
Thank you,
Nathan

The Conversation Parlor / FAKE PORPER CARD CLIP
« on: February 07, 2012, 06:31:16 PM »
Hi, I bought on ebay what I thought was a joe porper card clip. However, it doesn't seem like a real one. I don't know, as I haven't had one before, but all of my decks are too wide for it and stick out when placed completely in. How can I know if it is real or fake?

The Conversation Parlor / HELP, Fanning powder
« on: February 04, 2012, 10:06:11 PM »
Hello,
Today, for my first time ever, I used fanning powder,
I used the same type as in this video, and followed all the instructions:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dIZHiGecBxc
I put about a teaspoonful, and after having done tons of faros and stuff, all my cards are sticking together and are fanning horribly. Any help?

The Conversation Parlor / The Invention of Hugo Cabret by Brian Selznick
« on: February 03, 2012, 12:56:02 PM »
Hey guys, since the movie HUGO, academy awards nominee has come out, I have decided to re-read both the first and second volumes, and look at what I've found:
" While Hugo worked, the old man played cads. Hugo's father had taught him how to play solitaire, and he used to entertain Hugo with a few card tricks. Hugo hadn't thought about that in a long time. As he watched the old man play, he saw things that captivated him. The old man didn't just shuffle the deck, he fanned it and flipped it and made the cards jump up into an arching bridge, shooting them in rapid succession from one hand to the other. He could cut the deck with one hand an make a second fan of cards appear behind the first. He even made a card float up by itself and then lower into the deck again."
There's tons of other references to magic and flourishing, and I found these details fun for me to read, as, when I had first read the book, I wasn't into magic, and I didn't remember these passages.
Anyways, I really recommend you get the two volumes of this graphic novel and you watch the movie, because they are AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!

I was thinking that all of us card experts could perhaps all work together on creating designs for a custom deck of cards. Do you think that would be a good idea? Just a hypothetical question.

Hey guys, I wanted to know where I can buy Bicycle Vintage decks for cheap. Not the Series 1800s, but some that work for Zach Mueller's Vintage Holdout.
Thank you,
Nathan
