Poll

What is your opinion regarding the extra card w/credits?

Regular backs on both, credits on one in small print, AC ad on the other.
Credits on both sides of one in medium-sized print, AC ad on the other with regular back.
Credits on three sides in regular print, AC ad on the fourth.
I really couldn't give a flying fig and have no opinion - do what thou wilst.
I want something different, and I'll describe it in a post below...

Not sure if you can tell but there isn't a D in the exact middle. The middle part is 4 D's wide, two facing one way, two facing the other, alternating. Thus - two way back  :D

ALSO ON A SIDE NOTE, I HAVE ACCUMULATED A WOPPING GRAND TOTAL OF ONE SIGNITURE FOR THE AoS. Now that i'm done with the back, I'll focus on the Ace but i need signatures people. Go to my other thread, I bumped it to the top, if your name isn't on the list and you're working on the deck, post your name. THEN email me your signature on a white sheet of paper written in sharpie. Can be a cell phone pic of scan. DerkPhotography@gmail.com

Thanks  ;)

I'm guessing that's mine, correct?

I just had one question: will the D in the middle of the back make a subtle one-way back design or are we going to change it so it is truly 2 way?

The deck looks 2-way to me. I can't find anything that makes it 1-way.

Thanks for the support guys. I tried changing the color a tad but I really like it. I also changed the DISCOURSE lettering on the sides to black to match the rest. I think if I kept it a color or something, it would distract from the overall design. I like that the lettering is subtle and one might not even notice it at first.

Here is the final design UNLESS someone comes up with a good suggestion to change it.

I don't see anything that needs to be changed. Looks great to me! Excellent work.

Actually, I just realized my mistake: it is truly a 2-way back design.
I will send you my signature soon, Derek.

I agree that its really really beautiful! That is THE most amazing blue gradient backs ever! Great awesome wonderful job Derek.

Anyway Nathan is right we have to keep working on our face cards. I'm currently drawing the diamonds and playing around in placement and colours. ^_^  I will try to make two versions. Since I think Derek is going to be the one who will do the finalizing on the images right?

Okay. I think Derek has a lot of work on his hands so we need to get to work on the faces. Also, since many designers haven't done anything yet and haven't posted anything on this thread, they will be kicked from this project. I will post a list of the new jobs we need to have filled, now.

Would you rather me add detail now to my 3 face cards, or would you prefer that I got a concept for my last one?

I'll send my sig while I'm at work tonight.

The back looks good.  Pull the poll, we don't need it anymore.  We have our design and it's solid.

Randy's new Six looks great, as we would expect after seeing the first one!

Derek - how's YOUR project going?  I haven't seen an update in a while, though I admit I've been a little scarce the past few days.  Post something there rather than here to reply, to cut the clutter.

I have a situation here, no big deal BUT.. I just realized that if I were to use the signature of everyone that's even remotely involved in this deck, the names would be so small that in the AoS, you would barely be able to see them. THUS, I am going to be only using the signatures of people creating cards, so that will be 10-15, not sure, but that will be a lot more doable than 25 signatures, they would just be unreadable.

What about making one of those "ad" cards? E always have an extra card in the deck for their ads. We could do that. Right?

For those of you who don't remember:

It was put forth that the AoS would have signatures.  Yes, they'll be nearly illegible due to size.  But remember: a sig doesn't have to be "first name last name" - it can be your personal logo, it can be your initials, it can be whatever little scrawl you decide is YOURS.

Regarding the ad cards, we have four sides on two cards.  One side will have the standard Aether Cards advertisement.  The remaining three will give credits to the various artists and contributors IN PRINT along with their contributions.  I gave examples of other decks that followed this model, including Play Me Burlesque playing cards from Kickstarter - a keyword search for "playing cards" won't turn them up, but a search for "deck of cards" will.  With the right font, all contributors and titles should fit on three playing card sides while still being legible.
