I just wish these were printed by the USPCC. I really love the design and it sounds like these are extremely durable. I may purchase a couple of these. Thanks for posting it CBJ!

No problem.

I just bought one, and it came to $6.58 USD including shipping to an address in the states.

I'm happy :)

These look nice. CBJ do you mind posting a first impressions review on these when you get them? I'll pick up a couple if they handle decently. It's a huge gamble with foreign decks. There are some that have spectacular handling (Misdirections Mystery) and some that are just atrocious (Aces over Kings).

Yeah not a problem.  I really haven't done a review before.. but I can compare them to the Bicycle Prestige, and the Karnival Death heads.  I have no Kem and Copag cards, but I do play poker every Tuesday.. and that's what they use.

On a side note,...  Alex did you see my post about Carlo's package?

It's a plastic deck... What difference does it make?
The court cards do look fantastic and at this price, I might be tempted to buy a few. I love the pips, too!

Edit: With a $33 shipping estimate for two decks... Yeah, not gonna happen. :(

Yeah it was pretty high to Canada, that's why I had it shipped to an address in the states for a couple of bucks

Yup, the artwork is awesome... The back is nothing special but the joekrs and court cards are an instant hit with me.
I really need to start looking into shipping forwarding with all that international buying. :-\

I do like the faces very much as well. I don't really care about the fact that these are plastic.

I have to agree with Nathan on this. Despite them being plastic... they're not called tactical cards for nothing. :P Must endure the harsh elements. ^-^
I mean COME ON those jokers and the court cards are just so plain adorable! soooo kawaii!!

I LIKE IT

I got my deck of these yesterday and played with it a little. All in all, for less than $4 they are a cool little deck. They are plastic and feel quite similar to the Bicycle Prestige, though they seem only slightly thinner. The texture of the material is very close and they have a little bit more stiffness than the Copag deck  I have.

I did note that they don't smell the same as Bicycle and it says they are printed in Taiwan.

The back design is pretty cool, though the center is obviously one way. The court cards are cute with the little samurai-esque bunnies and other little creatures. The pip design is different and looks cool, but I do think the pips are a bit too far from the edge, it often makes fans look rather blank. For a plastic deck they seem to handle pretty well. They are easier to flex than a paper deck and stay nice and straight. Fans work pretty well, I didn't use it extensively but didn't get too much clumsiness. (edit: after a bit more playing they did get rather clumpy on me. Not sure if they just got more finger oil but they went from real smooth to hard to fan in a few minutes time.) Faro works nicely.

If you don't get hit with the high shipping, I definitely think it's a cool deck to pick up.

LOL. Well, the plastic ones I've gotten so far had a pretty notable odor to them, so I was actually trying to determine if this deck might be made by one of the companies I already owned, and a quick sniff was a valuable clue.

The maxpedition one smells nasty, btw. :)

Cool review Paul! I personally have never noticed a smell on any of my plastic decks... Do these have any defects (pip coloration etc.)? For example my prestige deck has lighter diamond pips than heart pips.

My deck is very consistently printed, colors are the same and the stock is very white. My other plastic decks are just slightly off-white. I did notice that the cards must vary in width every so slightly (far less than a hairs width) but if you set the deck on a flat table you can see that some of the cards are just a touch higher, making a ridge.

Hey @Paul thank goodness I thought I was the odd one out for smelling decks of cards. :P
Anyway thanks for giving us a brief review of the deck. I am really hoping to get some of these as soon as I get my finances in check. I think shipping from Tai to China is not so expensive so thank goodness. :)

I decided to open mine today to check these out.

You're right... they smell quite bad.
They do feel nice. Very comparable to the prestige deck.

For the little these decks cost, I would suggest getting one.
