A Cellar of Fine Vintages / Re: Antique Bicycle Decks

Thats crazy! How old are they?

I think the box for the sprocket deck is not the original- the lack of a date code on the ace puts it before 1904, but the box itself says "revised 1905."  Unless it is one of those oddball situations where the deck was manufactured and sat around for a couple of years before it was packaged and sent out (Hochman mentions this rare occurrence when talking about tax stamp dates).

Congrats on the purchase.

Does anybody know if they'll be releasing any uncut sheets?

Thank you SO much.

Ditto! I emailed USPC customer info about a year ago and they swore up and down that they didn't sell uncut sheets.    >:(

I hope that USPCC starts producing more internal custom decks

I'll bet they're harder to faro than a standard deck of Bikes...   :o

yes, as long as I have two of a deck I am willing to open one

I always buy two.  One to use, one to save!

I love breaking out a tax-stamp sealed deck of New Fans or Rider backs for a poker game.  Adds an historical touch to the evening.

And yes, card games are the "intended purpose."   ;)
