Title: Favorite Court Cards?
Post by: loldudex2 on November 08, 2011, 09:28:24 AM
Since everyone loved the "Favorite Box" thread, I decided to make this one, what are your favorite court cards. For me, hands down it's the "Americana" deck. The blue hinge with shotguns, and the red bandits look amazing in my opinion. What are your favorite court cards?

Honestly, I think the Vortex wins this one from what we've seen so far but for the moment I'll go for the Karnival Dead Eyes.  Certainly not for everyone but I love them

Are those the ones with the X's over their eyes?

For non-E decks I'd say that what Alex Chin created with the Seasons deck is at the top of the list. King of Clubs, I believe - lovely. Haven't seen the courts for the Vortex so can't comment on that one.

I like what Russell did with the Americana but I'm weak for completely custom court cards.

The Seasons are my number 2 favorite court cards, but I just love the Americana court cards for some reason.

Not Xs, they're blacked out like if you were protecting someone's identity.

I'd say the Congress brand (bridge size) court cards, followed by the vintage ones on the Angel-back Squeezers.  You can keep your deathy, gothy court cards and their crossed-out eyes!

Artifice court cards did it for me. Anything with a border is automatically meh in my eyes. The Actuators have some great artwork as well, but they are bordered and cluttered with extra pips. I'd imagine Lance will pump out something much more pleasing in the next deck he makes.

I released some previews of the Vortex court cards, but I am now remaking them to be bigger and more custom. :]

That's good, because one of my original problems with the Vortex was the court cards were too small.

They're ever-so-slightly smaller than standard size now, borderless, modified coloring just like before, and now with modified faces, reveals, messages, and more.  :)

You keep on saying "reveals". As of this point, how many reveals are in this deck/ box total?

Dropped the amount on the box to two yesterday, and a few more throughout the deck. They're not gimmicky, don't worry. We should get back on topic though  :)

My vote would be for the Jack Links deck LOL

HAHAH

Obviously I'm kidding.

Once again, I have to go with the Seasons deck.  This one pic will prove it...

I can't wait to get these.

Seasons seem to be winning all of these categories!

My top 3: Artifice, Seasons, and Vortex!  :o

Those seasons decks are like a warm bath for the eyes...

I'm sticking with Vortex, though; I'll hold fire on the smaller size until I see it and the little vortex in the centre of each one is just such a clever idea; I'm picking brains over looks, basically.  Which is handy for me because the pretty ones keep their distance.

Seasons wins hands down.  Artifice has a nice look also, I just wish I had the talent to make a completely custom face design. I'm working on one though... ;)

Seasons are the best deck EVER.
